Aww dang. I'm a new 370z owner and was hoping to get involved but can't make the date. I had a few jeeps in the past and it was fun having a vehicle that has an enthusiast community. I'm sure all of you Z owners will be just as great. Maybe I can make it to the next one.... Good luck!

Oh and could someone brief me on the pros and cons of the pulley mod? I just put ARK grip on the car and will be adding things as the budget allows. HFC's and a tune will be sometime in the future but maybe I can get In on this pulley if I think it's worth it.

Congrats on the new Z!

We would love to see you at the next meet! Going to try to have one each month, next one should be in Denver. Subscribe to this thread for updates.

From what I understand the pulleys can give you a bit more torque down low. The best bang for your buck horsepower-wise is definitely the HFC's, but from what I understand you do actually lose torque down low with HFC's and CBE unless you get a tune. Based off that I would say the pulleys would be a very worthwhile upgrade since what I miss the most from my 350 is the low down torque.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I actually did a bit of research on the pulley upgrade and it makes sense now. Lighter and different ratio at crank and accessories but overall the same ratio. Looks like a good upgrade. I've got ARK exhaust and planning on HFCs, intake, and a tune when I can afford all three. I don't want to screw up my AFR too much so I'm doing it all at once when money allows.

Plans changed and I may be able to make the gtg tomorrow:) will probably bring the wife too. She actually thinks its cool that we are part of an enthusiast group now.

See ya there today folks!!! Also if anyone wants after....the golden cruise starts about 4pm and is one of the biggest events you'll ever see here in Denver.

I've been looking around for tuning for myself and I found these guys Welcome to MAC Autosport

Maybe one of these days we could try to set up a meet at this place and get a good deal on a dyno day with tuning. Anyone interested?

jgibbons 08-03-2013 01:50 PM

Very down for a group dyno/tune.

these guys look legit as well.

Awesome day guys!!! Glad I got to meet all of you and am looking forward to the next meet

Fun day! Revolution performance does look like a pretty legit place too. The only thing I saw though - they don't use dynojet for the dyno. I'm sure they probably can tune a car wonderfully, but dynojet seems to be a standard for measurement/power numbers. If you ever share your numbers w other folks, it's easier for everyone to be measured on the same type of dyno. Maybe I'm wrong about dynojet? Idk ...

They look superb for tuning though. I'm more interested in the tuning aspect than the dyno part but I know a lot of folks like dyno numbers.

I bitched out from the washed out roads, stuff was hitting my front bumper.

troysmith370Z 08-06-2013 04:18 PM

Those roads where awesome! I found a huge branch stuck under my car yesterday. And side note I did record from my car..... but the camera is low I'm the car so it sucks. Jesh you need to help me upload them.
