Florida tuners

I live in the Tampa area and was wondering if anyone knows of a decent tuner in the area or within a 3 hour radius. I'm not looking to be a dyno queen.

ZTuner, NOT ZFever

I do -- a very good friend of mine -- and I can tell you he is the only guy you should be going to.

Z fever need not be involved, but I have never had anything but good results there...

Schedule with Martin for tuning and Proven Power for the dyno if you wish -- the gents at PP are great

PM me.

look for Billet Design Motorsports, they are near by. Marco Manzie is the owner and a very reputable guy. they mainly deal with GTR's and Skylines but also very talented with the Z cars. he is more than capable of taking good care of you. Tell em Juan from Fontana Nissan sent you.

Anyone else here can attest to BilletDesign aside from Juan?
Im also looking for a good tuner in FL.

I don't know what people's issues are with Z fever, but again, Martin Struk is NOT Z Fever.

Google RSenthalpy. He does his own work and specializes in Nissans. Whatever horror stories there are about Z Fever, I would be absolutely astounded if Martin was involved.

I've known the guy for about a DECADE, and I can attest to his knowledge and skill in tuning and engine building (as can many, many folk here and abroad). Also, he tuned my VVEL when hardly anyone knew what they were doing with that and we made excellent power gains -- search for my Proven Power Dyno Thread.

Mention me or don't if you contact him -- I don't get kick backs on this. But I do a TON of testing and tuning, know virtually all of the tuners in Tampa either personally or indirectly, and I'd be astounded to find one of them who wouldn't recommend Martin (whether or not they were fans of Z Fever -- my direct dealings with the shop as an entity is more limited, but certainly positive).

As when I post tons and tons of info, dynos, etc, I'm just calling attention to this for the geeky love of data and sharing useful info for folks on tuning, so... whoever you go with, good luck

FWIW: For anyone in the area with a Nissan, I'd say go with Martin + Proven Power's dyno and techs as the preferred option If you are leery of Z fever (again, I've had no issues), or if you go to Z Fever, hang out so you are sure only Martin touches your car, use their dyno and you will be fine

Ztuner - Harry - Bradenton - doesn't necessarily go for max power, tunes a little conservative (he told me this in a conversation)
ZFever - Martin - Tampa - have heard it go both ways
Proven Power - Martin - only heard good things

From what I've heard about ZFever, it seems like an issue with how much time is dedicated to the tune and if Martin is the only one to touch the car or not. For example fi they are super busy with projects, they slack off. (from what i've heard). I had them install my TPs and CBE due to stuck bolts (that I couldn't get) and had a good experience.

I am also deciding who to go to for my tune.

Looking to do the same soon...my intent was to research the best tuner in area. Seems Martin at Proven power is favored with you Tampa guys.

Zoren 370 01-06-2015 02:46 PM

There are 2 Martins?

xxAGAVExx 01-06-2015 03:43 PM

I probably should as well but I'm concerned about warranties. Fidelity seems to send an adjuster every time I get any warranty work done.

Zoren 370 01-06-2015 04:39 PM

I think it would only concern warranty issues if your claiming something would require engine ecu checks. Other than that its fine even if you claim for a csc warranty work there is no way dealers would mess with your EcU.

No other comments have been made, so I guess Martin @ proven power is my best bet.
