This was my first thought too.

Question for you guys, I bought my cable used from another member that was selling his car, he put the license back on and everything. Also, since we have the same mods he sent me his tune file, are those not transferable to another car? He said it would work but the possibility crossed my mind. If you can't use it I have to figure out how to get the stock tune back.

Did you flash the right file for your ecu? Or did you just use the ecu file that was sent to you?

Lowbz21 10-14-2013 10:40 AM

Just the one fine that I have which is the one he sent me, the program said everything was flashed correctly.

Yea but did the part number match up with your ecu part number?

I see in the program it says "ecu part number" but where do I find the other part number to see if it matches?

Well you guys can rule out that the keyfob and intelligent key system as issues. Try disabling the anti-theft in Osiris or Cipher (not sure where it is), but it seems like you may have homeboy's algorithm instead of the one that goes with your keyfob. I bet it starts right up...............

Are there 2 different programs? Because I didn't see an option to do that in the one that I used to flash the car.

Sounds like OP Flashed the Car with the Incorrect ROM.

Give UpRev A call

1. Read it off the ECU it's self.
2. Read it with Cipher
3. Read it with Osiris
4. Read it with Osiris ROM Editor
5. the Dealer can get you the ECU part number from your VIN number

Do you know the ROM file typically in the naming convention has the ECU Part number it meant to be used on.
Example:
1A32C base tune ( this I what I got from UpRev)

Now the ROM File you got ( Second Hand ) May have similar naming convention.
That being Said it MUST Match Your ECU's Part Number. You cannot take a ROM file from Car A and use in Car B.
ECU Part numbers vary year to year model to model.

Most likely Jared @ UpRev may ask that you send it in and they can fix it.

It still amazes me how many people modify their car and have no idea what they are doing.

Im very glad you got your car straightened out, but I hope this helps you and other newbs into reading about the car FIRST and then make changes. Seriously
