There's a line for this answer. Take a number please

would be interested if the price is a good enough discount compared to what other shops are offering across the country... since etunes dont make it necessary to be anywhere near my tuner

I'm not going after you. We have a competing product. It's my job to know exactly what else is available out there. And quite frankly, the timing of your new group buy seems to go completely against this "understanding" between you and Visconti to "never go after each other." We launched our calibration yesterday. We have hard numbers, dyno sheets, power expectations, pricing.. all I wanted to know was what your calibration was producing because none of those details were listed. There's no "bad blood" or hostility here. I'm pretty sure I'm within bounds to ask exactly what you're offering when you're posting a group buy. I apologize if you took it another way, but we're not exactly sure what to make of your timing either.

I'm all for competition. Competition is what breeds the best products. This board and these forums are filled with the same like-minded people as us who deserve to know what they're putting in their car. That's all I'm saying.

Apology, and explanation accepted.

We could post dyno sheets, but I have found over the years that customer posted sheets, without the tuner being present, tend to carry a bit more weight. This is why we have offered several customers our calibrations for free. This is also why all our files carry a 100% money back guarantee. If the customer is not happy, we will gladly refund the calibration price. Been doing this for years, and honestly have had very few takers. It has made us work very hard at customer service, and producing the best files we can

As far as what we are offering; in effect, our calibrations, and JV's are going to be very very close, simply because there is only one path to make more power on the atmo engine, and John and I are very good at what we do.

Cheers

Looks like there is quite a bit of interest! thanks for all the PMs and emails!

We will have a link up for our group buy shortly. There will be two different versions for you guys;

Calibration, license, and purchase ProEcu cable Kit, for those who like cool gadgets, and want to own the kit.

As of right now, looks like pricing will be;

449.99 for the loaner cable set up

749.99 for the purchase cable set up

In addition, the purchase option gets free shipping.

Bear with me on the link, I will do my best to have it up soon, along with some of the results from our crash test dummies,,,,erh test customers!!

stay tuned!!!

So if I was to purchase the calibration, license, and ProEcu cable Kit would I be able to bring my car some where like Speciality Z to tune my car? If they were willing to tune with ecutek that is..

How would the loaner cable work?

diddy535 06-17-2013 12:12 PM

Interested but if we got the loaner does that mean we couldn't get upgrades (like when multiple maps become available)?

I believe you get two weeks to use the cable. They do a CC hold for the cable, then ship it to you. The hold is released when you return the cable.

You will still be eligible for the free upgrades, but doing the loaner cable means you will be at the mercy of one being available as well as the time it takes to ship. I think most people who don't want to deal with having to wait on the loaner cable will be looking to purchase a cable for themselves.

anthony909 06-17-2013 12:29 PM

With this cable the car would be able to be tuned by tuners correct? Or do they need some type of software for themselves?

If you're taking it to a tuner you might as well buy it from ECUTek. It's $600 for the cable/software. The extra money here is paying to record data via the cable and send it to them to have them send back a new map to download to your car. I believe that's right.
