Ecutek kinda sounds like it's going to be better in future but only time will tell. Ever since I installed these aem intakes my car is running all junky and I'm pretty positive its the tune so I want to get it done asap! Hopefully he can tune through ecutek, if so ill be over there in a second.

Dyno sheet? What mods and how long did you have them on for before getting a tune?

Gen 2 intake/stock headers/CNT resonated test pipes/Stillen dual catback mid pipe/custom axleback short tails. Had most these mods about 6 months or so. And with the UpRev tune made 310 to the wheels.

I just thought Stillen was a good shop because they contact me every now and then just to ask how things are going with the car. Has a couple issues after the tune and they helped me resolve everything, great customer support

Specialty Z

Specialty Z is doing ECUTEC already. When I talked to Seb last time, they were still waiting for some more software updates.

Hotrodz 12-20-2013 07:58 AM

Seb, just like a lot of tuners are waiting for ecuTech to release their updates before getting real serious about things. Right now it's a push with the nod going to uprev still because you get the five different maps to select from.

Also, you should see about the same or little better fuel economy if you keep your foot out of it. Mine went down.....LOL!

How about gtm? i think somone mention before but no one commented

scionide 12-20-2013 01:35 PM

GTM also does Ecutek tuning now, and I live maybe 10 mins away..though I'd goto Specialty Z =P

"UpRev tuning for NA vehicles is $600 which includes licensing. Re-tuning an existing license holder is a flat $400."

Holy shít that's expensive.

DEpointfive0 12-30-2013 03:18 AM

Oh, and:
Additional tunes are $200 while already strapped down.

So, top HP tune $400, plus $200 for a valet tune, plus $200 for any other tune... Rather sell my cable/license and call it a day. Hell, I already make great numbers without a tune
