Suggestion on Uprev
Let me start off by saying I have a 2012 Touring/Sport. I got it back in March and only have 950 miles to date. I have ordered the Agency CBE and Takeda Stage 2 CAI within the past two days. I expect to get these by the week of the 10th. I plan on doing an Uprev tune later in the summer. I was wondering what you guys suggest doing, Is it suggested to have these bolt ons installed and run a couple hundred miles on them before doing an Uprev, bolt on and tune without running mileage through them or should I do a tune bone stock and then do another tune after the parts have been installed. Oh I should add that a dyno tune will be done too. Thanks in advance.

Bolt ons and then tune.
Generally no need for a tune when bone stock except for maps, fan control and rev/speed limiter. With bolt ons you are putting more air in and out of your engine which messes with the afr on the stock tune. The main reason for a tune is to get the engine running at a steady afr to prevent damage and increase power. There are of course other reasons but this is the reason to get it. |
Just make sure you have done all your mods before you get your tune or you will end up going back for a retune.
