I turned everything up to 100% sooner of course, and it helped. What I'm wondering about: mine had the data columns for 214/217/221 like your factory image - how did you get the columns to switch to lower temps (your second image: 192/196/205?).

Highlight the data columns themselves and that should bring them down for you. They are adjustable just like the duty cycle of the fans. Let me know.

Oh duh, didn't even try that, they just didn't look editable. Will play with it next time around :)

Does seb work at uprev. If I purchase the uprev everything can be done through the net?

Seb works for Specialty Z and is an UpRev licensed Tuner...

Should I have this done with my car at 180 in normal driving?

I don't think you can get 180 in normal driving unless you're upshifting very early. :icon17: If I were you I'd do it unless you really have a hard time getting your temps up to 190-210 (without oil cooler)

I do have an oil cooler. It usually stays at 180 until I start beating on her.rarely gets over 200 unless I'm at the track.

henry0844 05-22-2012 11:54 AM

maybe just get a map that has the fan control for the track? but otherwise I wouldn't get it.

I expect that this mod is good for track users and anyone concerned about stop and go rush hour traffic and overheating...

So happy!!!!!!

Yeeeep. Been fantastic so far through all of the NYC bullsh*t I endure frequently.

I'm looking forward to testing this out this summer! Not even warm here yet really. :shakes head:

Had mine done today while on the dyno tuning my car for a water/Meth map ,on the ride home (about 80 mile trip) my car oil temps never got passed 200 deg. and the coolant was 2 dots to the left of middle plus it was 91 deg today.

wheee! 05-26-2012 04:11 PM

lol, I am finding myself looking at my temp gauges a lot lately.... they hardly climb at all and I am worried about the engine being too cool now!

'10Anamoly 05-29-2012 01:35 PM

Just had this done on my 2010 Z (stock radiator, no oil cooler) and I love it. Temps outside now are about 90 degrees and driving down to Z1 resulted in oil temps around 220 on the highway and 230-235 quickly in stop and go.

Stop and go now is consistently 205-210, highway is 205-215 (lower fan speeds used when going faster) and the car cools down extremely fast at idle from those temps.

Props to UpRev and Z1 for making this possible!

Baer383 05-29-2012 01:44 PM

Works good Chris,I had mine done on Saturday

'10Anamoly 05-29-2012 01:47 PM

Sweet, I just got back from Z1 about 30 min ago. John was nice enough to knock it out quickly so I could get back to work. Woot! :tiphat:

AlphaSnacks 05-29-2012 06:36 PM

Had a 90-degree day in NY today, tons of humidity...not a tick above 200F with this. Before, even with the 19R oil cooler, temps were in the 215-220 range. Without oil cooler, 240F.

Correct. All you have to have is a the Osiris Tuner license to do this. Just open your Rom Editor and look for Cooling, make your changes, save and flash.

'10Anamoly 05-30-2012 06:11 AM

I believe that Uprev updated the software so now it works on all ROMs.

wheee! 06-14-2012 10:18 AM

I just had UpRev include this mod when I did the last etune. Thanks Seb!

Cost

How much would this cost and would you have to take it to the dealer and does this uprev/tuner cancel the warranty and where would i go in norfolk va to get this done?

elperuano 09-16-2013 07:37 PM

^depends which one you get. It will void warranty unless you know someone or having a very lucky day. Uprev website lists the closest dealer to you
