My next car will be the upcoming M3.. all black, under warranty, fast beauty! For now my slightly modded 370z Nismo is it for me...
but the only way to know the answer to the question originally posted is to run both cars 10x and see who comes on top more.. slightly modded 370z vs e92 M3 I place my money on the M3! just my .02 |
The thing that I would hate about buying any high end luxury (brand) car brand new is how quickly its value tanks. This is especially true for the more expensive, higher performance models. That's why I would never buy one new, I would get one slightly used and covered with an extended warranty if I was to get one

the m3 is not the fast, as one wanted a piece of my z. Its was one of those fancy automatics... he was pissed/surprised. It has a good look but kinda dated. 80k new 1 yr old 50k no thanks for that resale value...
plus for 65k ill take the cts-v...rollin 5 deep with550 hp yes plz |

Another alternative would be picking up like a 5.0 mustang with a supercharger. Or a mustang + a turbo s2000. |

Also, having guys like Jnaut driving is an "ideal condition". Put him behind the wheel of the M3, and it will likely lay a better time. |

Better times mostly due to elevation. |

it's all about shifting mang if you can shift real fast you can beat anything.

Lame i was expecting an F&F quote from you guys lol Does it really matter if we can or can't beat a bimmer or a merc? this isn't a **** swinging competition, and everybody knows it's only damn 5.0's anyone really cares about

A NA Z could not beat a C63. A NA Z running 320/330 to the wheels can beat a 6mt M3
now a DCT is fast so it would be close. A 370Z 6 speed running 310 to the wheels got beat by a ISF that had exhaust and intake but only got beat by half a car. That same ISF beat a 6 speed E92 M3 by two cars. M3 wouldnt run the 370z!!! So from what i saw that night if a 310 RWHP 370z did that good... then a 320/330 RWHP NA Z will beat a Stock M3,ISF,SS,5.0, ect no problem. and if you have the 7AT then your gonna be even faster. So Yes NA Z can beat a M3!! 335i are even beating m3's! |
lol

Im getting the Torque converter reworked this winter, I still can not hold it past 1900 rpm. the mods that are done to it have taken me from 12.85 to 12.42's. But once they set the stall to 3500 to 3800 rpm's it will make the car go easy 12.2 's.
plus i have 2 more things to do the car before the stage 2 GTM goes on the car with 11 lbs boost. its really going to turn some low 1/4 mile times then. i will let you guy estimate how quick it will go with 500 to 515 rwhp, vs the 309 it has now. please be free to post . Thanks Z |

this isnt a "kill story" bc i never went over the speed limit lol.
Yesterday some kool kid and his buddy wanted to race me in his new m3. driving down the road kids next to me pulling away slowing down, pullung away slowing down. I control myself and let him think hes kool. we both get stuck at a red light kids reving his engine blah blah. i had to turn at the next light which was like 500-800ft away. so i figure what the heck id do a two gear pull w the kid. ac off, trac control off. build revs. light turns green, take off. by the time i was half way through second the kid was 4 cars behind me. he did his ricer flyby and he lost. its all about the driver. i have no idea why he wanted to race me. i mean what drew his attention to my car? http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/t...l/photo3-7.jpg :bowrofl: |
e92 m3?
drag racing is hardly about the driver.... |
