That code is usually thrown if there is intermittent or inconsistent readings from the accelerator pedal assembly. The throttle position sensor is the part of the assembly that converts the pedal position to a voltage to send to the ECU. The ECU was clipping the voltages to prevent unintended acceleration.

If the car is still under warranty you will need to take it to the dealer to get the accelerator pedal assembly replaced and recalibrated.
