How did you calculate your weight?

Per Nissan a base 370z is around 3300, but you can check NissanUSA for more exact weights for your model. Car+your weight should be as close as you can get without getting on a physical scale.

I was going to add that in, but not sure the measurement of that.
One gallon = X pounds, and if you do that you need to add washer fluid, oil, etc. What is counted in the NissanUSA website I am not sure exactly, curb weight from what I have looked up means different things today it seems.

jesus.... had to get technical on my ***.

Aight i am going to remove the (probably inaccurate dyno estimates) i posted earlier and try to get an accurate weight.

bluestyle55 03-17-2010 02:40 PM

Aside from the PROPER way to get the weight estimates...

Red370..tell me what you did to get your weight. lol not even being serious with this estimator...

I had a G-tech for my other car and I encluded gas and I think it was about 6 lbs a gallon so a full tank is about another 100 lbs.

Im going to do a before and after when I get mine so I can see gains since its not real accurate.

At Ft. Bliss, they have a weigh station at the landfill that we use to dump stuff, my car with 1/4 tank of gas weighed 3281, I then added my weight and there's your number. Also if you do the dyno in a low gear, the torque numbers are going to be astronomical, I did one in 2nd at 2k to 7k with a weight of 3600 lbs just to see how crazy the numbers would get, 580whp and something like 980 ft. lbs, lol, do your run in 4th gear. Keep in mind these numbers arent near as accurate as a real dyno, just for a little fun. I was screwing with one of my friends and set the weight at 4000 and did a pull in 3rd, i got something like 800whp, he believed me :D

I just wanted to say that this thread is the reason poor ZSteve has to wait another week for his AP, apparently lots of forum members have been buying these things up, I think AAM needs to give me a damn good discount on the next thing I buy from them!

are they backordered or delayed? I ordered mine 5 days ago and haven't heard a thing from them about shipping it, not responding to my PM either.

Zsteve 03-18-2010 09:23 PM

I called AA today and they told me they were all sold out, sold the last five a fews days ago. And they are waiting for another shipment to come in from Cobb I assume. Said it should only be a few days before they come in. They said they wont charge your card or whatever you paid with till they ship it to you.

djpathfinder 03-19-2010 02:10 AM

I just found out about Cobbs and thought I'd do a search on the forum...Red, I see you're a huge fan and you're right, they need to give you commission or something for all the free press. This AccessPort sounds so cool! I might jump on this. Hope they sell to Canadians...keep seeing USDM on their website.

So can you address cam timing, redline RPM and speed governor with this?
