ok, let me explain that more.

base stillen SC kit is trash. too much money and no power.

now, if you get that, spend more money and get the A2A kit, it is better but still tops out at like 600-650whp.

after all that money spent you could have gone TT with a much higher top HP capabilities.

also, SC is the way to go if you want a small power bump and have 7AT and dont want to spend the money to get a built tranny.

Definitely agree, the base Stillen kit is trash.

My car is one pulley upgrade ($100.00) away from 700whp if I want.

I am certainly not going to bash tt's as I love them. I'm not sure what the total cost of a tt set up is but if I started from scratch knowing what I now know about sc'ing, I could build a complete 700whp system for about 13k.

Sc is a good way to make big power on a stock block.

FI TT stage 1 kit is 9995 and it's good to 700rwp

add the fuel upgrades for e85, tune ,and basic needs outside the kit runs u to 11,500-12k.

sooooo cheaper than your 650whp SC kit :wtf2: lol

That tt price is if you're doing the labor yourself. Add the labor to have a shop pull the motor to install the turbos and see where that price goes.

The price I listed was for materials and shop labor. ;)

wait, why would you waste money having a shop install it?

i would do all that lol rather spend time in the garage building my car vs getting raped on labor from some shop.

tuning however i will pay for. idk a god damn thing about using those programs lol

Unfortunately, some of us don't have a garage to be able do a lot of our own work.

My car goes to Seb for tune. :driving:

Yet. I guess it's in the works? :tiphat: I'd love to have a garage, maybe when I finally decide to :gtfo2: of California and move out by Hotrodz.

nice! at least you guys get to use your cars year round.

That's one of the few pluses of living in CA. I couldn't imagine having to put my car away for months. You've got two you have to put away.

There are ways around (some) of the stupid laws in CA. There's no way around winter. But I do agree, we have stupid laws out here.

after 8 years and 8 winters putting the Z (2nd winter for GTR) for winter it seriously is super depressing but my god the first time you take them out 4-5 months later is better than that first time getting laid......ok maybe same level but still it's kinda nice.

You've got a good point there. There's nothing better than the first time you get laid though. Maybe better than the last time I got laid. :rofl2:

Another warning related to disabling knock sensors popped up on facebook today, signs of detonation if you look at the spark plug.

The author is claiming that he has replaced 4 engines this month all tuned this way, with knock tolerance raised by as much as 300% in some cells for no apparent reason.Attachment 141463
