Is buying a used Uprev cable and license a good idea?

Looking to tune the car and wondering if buying a used Uprev cable and license is a good idea?

I believe the warranty on the cable is only like a year, and probably only to the original purchaser. Has anyone had issues with their cables?

Has anyone had a bad experience buying used?

The warranty is 1 year from purchase and only applies to the original purchaser.

There were some issues with the older 2 piece cables they were using for a while but I haven't seen many issues for the last year or so.

If you have to pay for tuning as well there isn't tons of savings from buying used

Thanks for the input! I think I will just buy new to be safe. Me and a friend were going to split the cost of the cable and get two licenses.

I knlw the cable can only hold one license, but os it possible to flash one car with the first license, and then the second without being a ‘pro tuner’ with uprev?
