Default 2009 soon to be tuned by Uprev

Hi all,

I have a 2009 370z, and next monday I have an appointment with Uprev in Austin, TX.

I just recently got the car back in June, and at the time it was bone stock. Since that time I have added....

Stillen headers

Z1motorsports test pipes

Z1motorsports 25 row oil cooler

Invidia gemini cat back exhast

K&N Typhoon dual CAI

I will be putting it on the dyno with these parts unless anyone has any last minute NA ideas that would make a significant difference in gains shown.
I wish I would have done a baseline with no added parts, but I couldn't wait to get started.

The tune date is 28 September 2015. I will be posting results as soon as possible. I know that most have been around 320-340 rwhp. (I think)

why did you go with Stillen headers over the Z1 headers?
no Ported plenum you'll be missing out on some power there
why not go with ecutek there are a lot more tuning options over uprev

I decided that since uprev was so close, I would just go there directly and get it done from uprev themselves. As for the stillen headers, my only reason was because I was under the impression that the stillen headers were better than the z1's.

If you actually going to UPREV's shop, then you will have access to all of the "tuning options" that are available with their software and have a tuner that knows how to apply those options. Omar will take good care of you.

Do you really need a tune? The stock ECU is capable of learning/adapting.

So what would he really gain by going with ECUTEK over UPREV? Launch control? The only thing that they have going for them right now is that you can create custom maps. As far as I can see, there are not many tuners that can fully utilize UPREV's software (part of that may be by choice). Maybe it is complicated (not intuitive by nature).

While this is true, I would like my car tuned to get the most out of the mods that I do have. I also have the check engine light on due to the cat removal, O2 sensors are new and installed, but as many of us know...this ecu is smart, and knows that the cats have been removed. Uprev can disable the rear O2 sensors and disable the throwing of the code to stop the check engine light. (Which in my area is all they look at during inspection) I would like to have my power curve go throughout my entire RPM range, because I have seen many stock dyno charts on here and the power curve before a tune is sad. I know even stock that our engines are restricted, and want to "unleash the beast" so to speak.

I am all too familiar with that area. I will be going back there in a month or so. I missed that you are running TPs, so now I know. Either way, the guys at UPREV will get you squared away.
