Yuuuuuup right around the corner.
June 14-15 at te Mid Ohio Sports Car Course.
The Doran Racing Nissan / Nismo 370Z RC will be back on our home track.
We tested a few weeks ago at the teams "home track" and looking forward to running strong.
Looks like the Ohio G Club has put of together a good group (has big shoes to fill after the Texas group at COTA).

Wish I could be in two places at once, but will be attending the Midwest Heritage Z event in Nashville, TN.

Not gonna be able to make Mid-Ohio but I will definitely be at The Glen and I see that the #14 car is on the entry list. I'll try to say hello in the pits before and will certainly be cheering you guys on!

We have some really good speed here this weekend...
But we have been fast before...anything can happen.

When's the race being broadcast and where?

Home - SPEED2 for the live broadcast at 10:35 am EST 6/15 and the Speed Channel shows a condensed replay version a couple weeks after the race

Yeah I found this last night, I have an appointment right when the race starts but hopefully can get home to watch the last hour or so.

I understand the z gets bad gas mileage but can we roll the dice just once on yellows?

They usually get good fuel economy as compared to the rest of the field...

Didn't watch the race, was out of the house, but hopefully they did alright.

difficult to know what is going on just by the timing/scoring grid on grand-am.com.. but it looked like they went from 3rd to 14th after the driver change/pit.. gained some ground.. then i saw them a lap down and decided to start working on my Z. :/ Still in for watching the re-run next week on Speed.

Something must have broken again... fastest lap of the race (again), finished 17th.

We had to do a stop and fuel up in order to be able to go the rest of the way on fuel.
The stop was done under yellow and was clean.
I left pitlane and joined the field.
The series use I have a person with a flag at pit out... If he held the flag up Nd stood in front of you ...you were not ae to leave put lane.
At Road Atlanta ...they decided try we're no longer going to use said person.. And now said person is replaced by a light.
I saw no person nor flag...and didn't know about the light.
I knew there was a pit in light ...but not a pit out light.
We were given a stop and go +60 second penalty...
We hoped that in the last 60 minutes there would be a yellow and we would be able to join the back of the pack.
Instead everyone played nicely and it went green for the final 50 minutes.
When I left pitlane after serving the penalty we were 3 seconds in front on the leaders.
When the yellow came out I was 9 seconds in front on the leaders.
Yeaaaa that pretty much suked

Damn. That sucks. :( They said there were several of those on the Rolex broadcast.

It doesn't sound like they did...

IIRC, I believe there were at least 2 GS and 3 ST cars that were hit by the penalty. At one point, even the guys announcing said it seemed like some drivers weren't told about the change.

that sucks! did they not discuss that in the driver's meeting at all? did anyone else have a problem with it?
