Unfortunately I never got to run the strip on the bottle - the only thing we had in Omaha that was close was an 1/8th mile, so spraying was semi-pointless.

Off the bottle, I ran in the 7.3-7.4 area (good for mid-11's in the quarter). Probably would have been better with more driver mod, but the drive to the track was far too irritating, and the actual track prep for each Friday night was horrendous.

It was an M6, btw - not a "massive-torque-converter-so-all-I-need-to-do-is-mash-the-gas-and-let-go-when-I-want-to-launch".

As far as numbers, it was ~390 RWHP off the bottle and ~520 on (Dynojet).

Oh, and if I hear, "11's AINT FAST" - please...it's faster than 99.5% of the cars on the road, especially off the bottle.

11's are pretty damn fast, going about a normal day of driving I might see 3 cars that are that fast.

Was expecting 13.4 or better. 60 foot was 2.29. I'm gonna wait unil radials are here and go back. My mph dropped to 104 as the day went on and that was the biggest disapointment.

I pulled a 2.0 one pass but spun 2nd badly. That was my shot at 13.4 or better.

I even pulled a 2.6 60. That may be a record. Lol

Temp F : 83
barometer ? : 28.77

r/t : .096
60' : 2.232
330 : 5.974
1/8 : 8.981
MPH : 82.51
1000 : 11.531
1/4 : 13.686
MPH : 104.66

best 60: 2.0 <---- ruined run on a bad shift
best mph , first run 105.32

also got my car on the scale and it weighed 3420 with me in it and 1/4 tank of gas...

gotta add in your elevation also. elevation place a HUGE part in a cars performance. its why ATCO is infamous for posting times 2-4tenths quicker than other tracks because its low elevation and Low DA sometimes negative DA.

I think it would be nice if everyone also included Density Altitute especially since the Zs are NA cars and are affected by DA greatly. From my experience, ET can vary almost a full second from good to bad DA.

da affects times by 1-3 tenths of a second. with is substantial from say a -300 DA to like a DA of 800. but it would take a huge difference in DA to affect your performance by a full second

03threefiftyz 04-18-2010 05:05 PM

DA is important. My car runs 13.30-13.38 at 2200-2800', 13.15-13.2 at 1200' +/- 200', 13.08-13.12 at 0-500', and 13.0-13.05 at -500 +/- 200'.

Cheers.

I gained 0.4 seconds and 3mph just by racing from 5000 DA to 3500 DA. No additional mods and no change in the 60ft time. So just like the previous post, yes DA does matter. Not 200-300 but anything over 1000 is a significant change how the NA car accelerates.
