I'm going to the track on tuesday weather permitting of course.. I'll be on my stock tires with 8k miles on them.. I'll be happy if I hit 11.9's at 118-120 or so.. Man I wish I had slicks.. I Will have video and Times slips after!

Well, I'm not sure how you started your run..

But I'd suggest doing a quick spin of the tires to get anything off of them...no need for a big smokey burnout.

I'd suggest holding the rpms around 3000-3500. Don't even worry about cutting a good reaction time. I'd focus on the launch. So when the light goes green and you feel ready, progressively let out the clutch until you feel it catching and put more pressure on the gas. When the you feel the clutch has grabbed fully, put your foot to the floor until you have to shift.

I like to practice shifting a few times while I'm in the staging lanes just to get a feel for shifting fast.

^thanks for the tips intrigue

i couldnt go around the water box at this track and didnt heat the tires up because its only the stock tires. im gonna practice my launch somewhere on quiet road or parking lot to get a better feel for launching. besides the launch my shifts into 2,3,4 were pretty on point i feel. hopefully i can cut the 60' and have a better slip to post up soon

Well I went to the track to day (Byron Dragway) lets just say it was a little brisk out. The temp was 32 deg when I pulled into the track, They didnt even finish getting the track ready until 11:00AM.

So as you can imagine the track was very slick, seeing how the high temp of the day only reached 45..

The total amount of runs that I had today was around 15, most of them were failed passes due to a bad launch because of how cold the track was or spinning tires from 2nd gear to 3rd again because of how cold the track was.. well most of the runs were low 13's very low, 5 of my runs were 13.2 or lower and I have the slips to prove them.....

But the most interesting time was a 12.9 run! Yes that is right a 12.9 run with exhaust bolt-ons and stock tires! Here is the slip of proof and I even bounced the rev limiter from 3rd to 4th gear, I could have reached a quicker time!

So I say today was a win for me a 12.9 Pass with street tires minimal bolt-ons and a very slick track :)

Enjoy the pics :)

I wish we taped the final run. It was the last run of the night before they closed the track, ended up lining up with fellow Z forum member Danny3.7. It was a hell of a run!

me on the LEFT, Danny on the RIGHT.

Just whats listed in my Sig, K&N Drop in Filters/ HPS Post MAF Silicone Tubes/Berk Test Pipes/ HKS Exhaust.... The Track was a very slick track due to how cold it was, I am sure With the current set up I have I can take a few tenths of a second off with better track prep and nicer weather :)

I had over 180 drag passes in my G35, so I have I have experience!:driving:

My car only made 292whp before the manifold/tune, so my car is no where near a factory monster...I'd say it's actually slower than most.

Once we figure out why my car loses 40whp between 6500-7500rpms, I hope to dip into the 12s.
