Funny thing is, after looking at where the 370z's would have slotted into the BS results from nationals, the 370z would have actually had an even better showing. Unfortunately, this probably just means that in 2016 the 370z will be in AS and the Nismo in SS.:shakes head:

An ASP 370z should be faster than my car....which means it is not terrible outclassed in ASP.

...except at Pro's. Don't bother.

And this is the part that sucks as the Pro format is probably the most fun out of the 3 different formats.

What's the widest front anyone's raced on? I'm looking to run a 285 35 19 on a stock rim, anybody know if it'll work?

I run a 315/30-18 on a 18x10 wheel up front for my ASP car. I know guys were running 295/40-19 hoosiers up front in CS before the change to street tires occurred.

Sissies....get your cutting wheels out and make a proper wheel fit up front (and back).

18x11 and 315:

Sooo LOL @ autocrossing with a 370 base with factory wheels and tires. Talk about zero grip anywhere. I went there to shake the car down before I start modding it, and by the first half run I knew EXACTLY where to start. Wheels n tires plz. The car has sooo much more to offer with a simple wheel and tire upgrade. Just venting fellas :)

Running on 285 35 19 Kumho XS square, my alignment rear camber is -1.7, toe is at .16. I ran my first event yesterday in my 370z, the lot we run at was recently re-sealed and a little slick but I have been running a srt-6 which has a little more torque and no lsd. My question is what are some of your rear alignment specs, the rear end was all over the place yesterday, front had a good amount of grip, I found running 36f and 33r was helping. My question is what do you guys recommend to get a little rear grip in the car, my rears are a little old, not heat cycled or worn out but ill go to a 305 rs-3 next which i think should help. What may you guys recommend to me? alignment specs maybe?

Dcocci 10-26-2014 09:13 AM

going from 285's to 305's would already give you a nice change, especially with rs3's. I'd mount them first and see how it feels, and if you still aren't satisfied look into changing around the alignment. What are you running for suspension and swaybars?

cjwsrt6 10-27-2014 06:42 AM

I am 100% stock, first autocross in the car, just felt more loose then it should have been to me

Bondfire 10-27-2014 07:00 AM

Sticky tires and learning when to modulate the gas. You could do a front sway bar too, but I'd suggest getting a good feel for the car without one for a season first. Also, what was the temp where you were? That can have a drastic affect on tires.

I was running a275/305 rs-3 setup and though it felt pretty good, but then I changed to stock 245/275 zii's and it was so much better. I'm stock as well but planning on doing shocks and a front sway bar next season.
