Chuckwalla Valley Raceway Clockwise

Moving to Florida, so this will likely be my last day - at least for a while - at Chuckwalla. Gave it my best but came up short of the production car track record.

This first video is short. I catch up with a Ferrari 458 Italia and Lotus Two-Eleven. They blow me away on the straight... catch up again... Lotus spins out of the "bowl"... haha

This video is me trying for the Chuckwalla track record... The best I managed was a 1:57.761 on Hoosier slicks... That's a couple seconds better than my previous PBT of 1:59 running counterclockwise on Nittos. CCW is typically 1 sec faster than CW at this track.

Everyone was running 3-10 seconds slower than usual due to high winds and sand/silt blowing on the track. I'm sure I could have done better with a cleaner track... Oh well! Also, around the 10:15 mark I drop my left rear tire off of turn 3 and you can see the course record holder Z06 car get by me (he ran a 1:53ish on full slicks). In the drop, I cracked my Forgestar wheel and blew out the tire - had to limp back to the paddock

Great videos and driving. Sucks about the rim and tire but I guess that's the name of the game. Time for the supercharger so the Italia can be firmly trounced

Thanks! yup, stuff breaks at the track... frustrating but can't get hung up on that kind of thing... gives me an excuse to keep more spares around!

I'm trying to hold off on supercharging as long as possible!!!!!!!
