Bryan Heitkotter landed the pole position Friday morning for the inaugural Brickyard Sports Car Challenge at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, clocking a lap of 95.102 mph (1 minute, 35.922 seconds) to top the featured Grand Sport division in the Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series.

Heitkotter, who shares driving duties with BJ Zacharias, boosted the No. 14 Doran Racing/Nissan Motorsports/Lushin Nissan 370Z from its eighth-place showing in the lone practice session earlier Friday on the 2.534-mile Indy road course layout. Lawson Aschenbach backed up his second-fastest effort from practice by qualifying second at 95.094 mph, just .008 seconds off Heitkotter's time in the No. 01 CKS Autosport Camaro.

Just curious...how is the Skullcandy Altima team performing? Hate the thread jack, but do not forget that there are other Nissan's running as well.

They are currently 20th in the ST class.

If you want more detail I can try to give that... but the timing and scoring is probably the way to go.
