Nice, I'll try to make it. I went out with that group in Dec to big willow, going this Saturday with them again to streets of willow.

corner3garage 01-12-2012 02:54 PM

Awesome Martin Great to hear you are tracking your Z!

martin82 01-12-2012 03:26 PM

I will hit you up with some parts/pricing that I will need this week.

Extremespeed 01-15-2012 10:54 PM

Bump !!

brucelidat 01-18-2012 08:54 PM

Would be down, but I have birthday festivities planned for that day. $90 with timing, instruction, and lunch is a great deal.

brucelidat 01-24-2012 03:55 PM

Might go now....

martin82 01-24-2012 06:28 PM

Nice, I should be signing up this week or so, problem is I'm going again on Feb 7th!

martin82 01-24-2012 06:29 PM

I just signed up, looks like there will be a couple of Z out there. I am coming from sherman oaks...

There are already 78 people that signed up out of 100, not many spots left!

brucelidat 01-24-2012 06:32 PM

I see you have a brand new 2012 model, nice! Have you done any mods yet in anticipation for the track?

brucelidat 01-24-2012 07:36 PM

the prize will probably be like a quart of motor oil, if that's the case, ahaha

martin82 01-24-2012 07:46 PM

I'd like to see how ur 25 row cooler does, have you taken yours to the track often?

brucelidat 01-24-2012 07:54 PM

I've only gone once in December at Buttonwillow. It was my first track day ever so keep that in mind. Outside temps were probably in the high 50s/low 60s. My car was under the 180 threshhold for much of the time. I was contemplating making a smaller oil cooler block off plate than the one i normally drive around with for the track. I'll see how the next track day goes.

brucelidat 01-24-2012 08:46 PM

Make mine race gas! WWJD, are you going to this? I knwo you're doing Button this weekend.

martin82 01-24-2012 08:46 PM

Yea that's the one, nice car and good driving! Where in LA are u guys? I'm in west la/ sherman oaks. I was on a brand new 2012 magnetic black at big willow on that saturday, had 1500 miles lol.

This will be my 4th or 5th track even on Feb 4th.

I have a private track even on Feb 7th at big willow if you guys are interested also let me know, maybe 10-15 cars max. There should be a gtr, g35 supercharged, z06's, 2 911 gt3, and hopefully a few lambo and ferraris but I don't know the owners of the lambo/ferrari.

brucelidat 01-24-2012 08:48 PM

wait, I am confusing WWJD with someone else I think who is friends with him I think....I'm not sure anymore, haha

I'm in Anaheim since last year, but was int he Pasadena area before that. I still go back on weekends to visit my mom. I'm a major newb and would probably be getting in everyone's way at your event, haha. That's why I was planning to do the Button clinic again on the 25th. This is a good deal, though so I might come out if some other stuff doesn't happen that day.

brucelidat 01-24-2012 08:56 PM

WWJD, are you Ricky? haha, haven't met you yet, but heard about you from my friends.

Yes. Lol. Small world!

martin82 01-24-2012 09:03 PM

LOL, maybe gotta start calling you Pretty Ricky

brucelidat 01-24-2012 09:09 PM

so martin, any mods? are you running the stock '12 oil cooler? just wodnering if you're stock and if so, how everything has been holding up, brakes, temps, etc.

martin82 01-24-2012 09:18 PM

I am running the stock oil cooler, still figuring out what is the best way to go for upgrade, I think a hybrid of both water to water and water to air will be good. As long as I keep it to 10 laps or so oil stays around 235-240. Stock brakes faded fast, I had a track even at streets of willow 2 weeks ago, I couldn't find carbotech pads in stock anywhere in LA, so I had to get stoptech pads which actually weren't that bad. Stillen could also not confirm their goodridge brake lines in time, so I dont' have those either, but just called said they confirm with dealer that they will fit so I gotta order them.

I only have Stillen gen 3, stoptech pads, 4 point gtspec. Didn't install the 2 point yet, and supposed to get a 6 point used also.

biggest issue I have, either my car is way off alignment on the front, camber sucks my left front tire is destroyed from just 2 track days, I'll post a pic.

brucelidat 01-26-2012 01:52 AM

Looks like it got all filled up before i could register

martin82 01-26-2012 01:17 PM

brucelidat 01-26-2012 01:39 PM

I emailed Sung. We'll see what he says. It's not a big deal, though since I will be going to Button on the 25th and I'm trying to space my track days out anyway

brucelidat 01-26-2012 05:51 PM

Yup, just got the return email. Def no spots for the beginner group, only waiting list. So who wants to go tot he Buttonwillow clinic on the 25th?

martin82 01-26-2012 05:53 PM

You should just move up to intermediate, that's what I run. What happens is, they have TOO many beginners.

zero 01-26-2012 05:55 PM

25th of Feb? Post more info.
