One of the local tracks (Waterford Hills Road Racing) has a 75dB limit. :) I think it's just a CYA thing really though.

That's probably at the property line though, so to break 75dB you would have to be over 100dB at 10ft.

It is at the property line but the property line/sampling station is 20' drivers left and ~20' in the air from the back straight. :) You can see it here Waterford 9-9-10 on Vimeo Half way down the back straight there is a little booth with the measurement equipment.

A bunch of houses sprung up around the track and subsequently tried to get it shut down... Fortunately it's now a historic place and they can't! :)

Those people irk me. It's like building a house next to an airport and then complaining about the noise from the planes. You just want to slap them and say "Duh, what did you expect?"

I imagine that the sampling box is calibrated for a higher value than 75dB though given the distance. I've had farts that could register that.

F it. I am moving down south.

I live near MMP and that's great. I don't know what I would do if I had several local tracks to choose from!
