12.42 @ 114.37

Had a good day at the track.
12.42 @ 114.37. just got in will post pictures and time slip tomorrow morning.
The car ran perfect and fast. With the skinney front tires it went straight as an arrow.
Can not wait till i put the GTM stage 2 Sc on it 11.2 to 11.3's at least,
The GTM torque converter worked perfectly.

Congrats on the amazing time

chuckd05 04-30-2011 06:19 PM

Did you take off the m370 manifold ?

Can you send me a PM with the info on where you got the two sport package spares ?

And Congrats on the time, thats really good!

I'm just about done breaking in my new motor.. than getting my LTH installed, prob picking up a flywheel, and some radials and I'll be in the hunt for a better time again too , lol.

Great job and nice persistent hard work and improvements...

jnaut 04-30-2011 07:01 PM

Good work Steve...nippin at my heels. Car is making good power 114.3 trap....nice.

Z eliminator 04-30-2011 08:03 PM

I ran the motordyne M370 manifold.
i also re installed the Cobb and used my own fuel curve. It made it accelerate a lot harder.

The car pulled really hard of the line and it never let up till i crossed the finish line.

tranceformer 04-30-2011 09:36 PM

congrats! looks like jnaut's got some competition!

Mr&Mrs 04-30-2011 10:16 PM

The next 1/4 mile run for the Z is next monday May 24.
I will be changing the motordyne intake and runing the stock 3.7 intake.
I will try to post the pictures of the skinney front tires later tonight.

Good news the nights are getting cooler up here (mid 60's). A few more weeks and the temps may be down to the 50's. its been to hot race temps ins the 90's to 103 one day last week.
More good news Sam is getting ready to ship my stage 2 GTM Sc with the 11 psig pulley and im going to get the meth kits as well.
But i still want to see if i can go quicker with the N/A set up.
Fast times coming from the " great Canadian north "
I also checked out some GTR time's and man are they fast. I can not see my car going quicker than a GTR in the 1/4 mile.

a [stock] GT-R's worst nightmare :stirthepot:

Z eliminator 07-27-2011 05:42 PM

they are running 11.1's and many in the mid to high 10.s.
2011 models. Man thats quick.
They have to be modified .
Boy am i going to be eating "crow on this one "
1.65 to 1.75 60 ft times.
But that does not mean that if i get to run one up here i will not lay down and die.

Z

dnasty370z 07-27-2011 05:48 PM

How do you think you would do on a roll with the stage 2?

I'm glad you've finally stopped drinking the koolaid and come back to reality. :icon17:

A little ambition and confidence is always a good thing but you bit off more than you could chew claiming you would own GTR's in the 1/4 mile. But don't feel too bad, GTR's are stupid fast stock, nevermind a few bolt-on's.

definitionxmk 07-27-2011 07:31 PM

awww.... but i still believe you'll beat those GT-Rs one day Z. Ever think about Time Attack?

aaaaand reality sets in finally

b1adesofcha0s 07-27-2011 08:06 PM

I don't know why you didn't look up the times before claiming that you would be their worst nightmare :p

Actually, slower car owners mouthing off and claiming to be faster than a stock GTR even though everyone knows they're not ARE a GTR owner's worst nightmare. :p

(I'm just teasing OP :))

RCZ 07-28-2011 09:31 AM

Well....SC was the wrong way to go faster than GT-R's all along....specially when you let someone sell you the idea that putting traction control on a drag car is a good idea...

Maybe a pair of turbos?

Maybe just skip the whole thing and buy a gt-r? You could be a 370z's worst nightmare.

Z eliminator 07-28-2011 09:46 AM

i did look at the times , i saw 11.7's and i was at the track when he ran an 11.42. with mods's
But some of the modified one's area way faster than 11.7's
Traction control may work yet, You have to drive the car in the rain to really see the diference it make.
TC with the stock 19 inch tire's is increadable. Tc with drag radials justs did not work.
We will see what it does with the SC.
We will also see what the SC does at the track, could be faster than we think.

b1adesofcha0s 07-28-2011 10:00 AM

I say you stick to aiming for stock GT-R's.

98intrigue 07-28-2011 10:35 AM

Only way you can be a GTR's worst nightmare may be from a roll. They are dig monsters, but their traps aren't all that impressive STOCK.

Shh...you have a 2012.

Don't the pre-2012s trap around 121 stock?

yeah i know i just had to throw that in there lol and for full disclosure most 12's are in the 122-123 range.... mine is the only one ive seen hit 125 so far....

but yeah is usually 118-121 on average for 09's-11's

i trapped 123 with just an exhaust on my 09.....never ran it bone stock

12s as in 2012...not 12 seconds. I believe I saw a video of a stock 2012 do an 11.1. I'm sure MC can correct me if I'm wrong.

At stock, 121mph isn't slow at all...but a 500whp 370Z should trap 123-125. I'm just doing a stock 09-11 GTR comparison to a boosted 500+whp 370Z.
