Well I new some guidance on coilovers as they are on my to do list and need some for this summer when I hit up some HPDE an autoX. I

Default Figuring out suspension

Well I new some guidance on coilovers as they are on my to do list and need some for this summer when I hit up some HPDE an autoX. I want to make the best handling Z possible and get something I won't regret later on.
I curretly will be installing some whitelibe sways and Varios other little parts for camber etc. But narrowing it down to BC ER and swift, KW upgrade by robispec, tein monoflexs. I would love JRZ but would have to wait for a while and save more, maybe worth it?
Any advice y'all can give I greatly appreciated.

best bang for the buck would be tires and camber plate. sway barsa are good bandit option too

If you want to start participating in HDPE events just leave your suspension stock. At the novice level an upgraded suspension does not give you any advantage (and it might make your Z harder to handle). This is a common misconception that I fell into with my previous G35. I did not want to sign up for my fist track event until I had my suspension completely upgraded. If I knew then, what I know now, I would have an additional two years of track experience under my belt.

Spend your money on an oil cooler and then address the brake pads and fluid (and this does not mean some aftermarket BBK). I use CarboTech XP-10 front and XP-8 rear, stainless steel lines, and Castrol SRF brake fluid. Remember, even at the novice level you can overheat your oil and experience brake failure.

And losing your brakes at the end of a long straight is a tough situation for a novice to deal with…

Ok, thanks for input. Just to correct on my first post for not be specific enough. I have other track time from my 350, and with all the handling goodies added, this is just a different car with different available parts.
I am looking for more input on the exact products that are out there that are driven more towards tracking the car. I am ready to move on with the car as I already have the oil cooler, and brakes upgraded to handle the track are already taken care of, as well as new tires. With that said whats everyone running or reccommend? And why?
If not, then no big deal, I'll just keep on mastering my search-fu

What first handling mods do you recommend once you're ready to go from stock suspension? What is the Z's weak spot suspension wise in other words.

I already plan on using carbotechs as I've had those before and was really impressed with the xp10's. What made you choose the SRF over ATE Blue?

I like sway bars. The car understeers soooo much from the factory.

ate blue is grossly overrated, its a brake fluid for ricers. i rate them along the lines of hps

Eibach, Whiteline and Stillen sway bars generally have the best repute for good performance and streetability. I love my Stillen sway bars, but you can't go wrong with any of the suggestions above.
