Which gear is it safer to rev in? Park or Neutral? and how do you get a good start while revving? I heard you can rev in neutral then shift

Which gear is it safer to rev in? Park or Neutral? and how do you get a good start while revving? I heard you can rev in neutral then shift into drive to get a good start. How do you do this safely without messing up the transmission?

He's doing that cause he got a manual. Don't even think about neutral dropping an automatic transmission.
