And we all know that when you've got the traction, a favorable DA, and a real wheel-man you're going to put down some times.

I'm secretly hoping J has a set of ET Streets and skinnies at the ready to make a run at 11s N/A. :D

DO IT J! I want to see your Z doing this:

HAHA funny you mentioned this as tranceformer and i were talking that about throwing our spare's on the front just to try and post up 12.2xx.

jnaut 11-07-2010 08:52 PM

steve, how is the mustang? how you put it down the track yet? there are a lot of the new 5.0's here... the are damn fast!!

FL 4Motion 11-07-2010 08:54 PM

good gawd, that is a great time and some really great driving. :tiphat: Hat's off to you good sir. Just goes to show that in the right hands w/some reasonably mods, this car is no slouch.

It's been great so far! Best has been a 12.87 @ 110 fighting for traction. I'd be down there in the low 12s with you but as it stands right now I'm spinning into 4th. :icon18:

Though I'm on the stock Pirelli 255s so I'm thinking I may go the RE-11 or NT01 route next spring, especially after seeing how these RE-11s worked out for you at the track.

Anyways, keep up the good work man. I know you have 11s in you with a really sticky tire! Let's just see how long the diff/axles hold up. Someone's got to put them to the test!!!!!!!!

Don't do the NT-01's on the street as the noise will kill you! Great hard wearing track tire but just howl brutally on the street. Get the RE-11's or the NT-05's.

Oops, I did mean NT-05, not NT-01. Thanks for the catch.

I second that. I'm digging the NA track runs.

Z eliminator 11-08-2010 09:34 AM

I asked the officals at my track if i could run the sports spare tire on my car and they said no. 18 x 4 rim. There is a a radial tire that fits it. 170, 60 , 18.
Im looking for a sport package spare tire rim.
The guy at my track has a dodge srt wagon with a 6.1 L. with a SC on it and he run's 11.1's in the 1/4. He runs a 17 inch rim with a spacer. They have a thing about cars running spacers on them as well but todate they have let him run them.

whoa nice time!

chuckd05 11-08-2010 07:15 PM

ill gladly trade my base brakes for some sports to any taker out there, lol...

also our diff isnt the best, i cut 1.89 on the open diff and no better than a 2.0 so far on my vlsd but my launching technique was wrong. I never practiced other than at the track... But I've since gotten much better at getting the Z going off the line..

The gears + flywheel are the difference in the launch though becuase theres a slight bog and soft spot with mine, with the 4.08s that sprob corrected as well as giong through the 1/4 at the top of 4th not the begining...

Jnaut is def the bench mark for n/a's and prob pissing off some FI'ed Zs out there!
