Default Couple interesting notes from track

#1 Watch for the brakes. While the car stops, but pedal response is awful with the ABS and the occasional ice mode. The problem is worse for me as I ran XP10 pads on street tires (too aggressive), be careful selecting your brakes and tires as the first session was terrifying for me. I tried my best to bed them on the street, but it is nearly impossible to do it properly. I still never got comfortable with them, I need to get better tires or back it down to XP8.

#2 Fuel Starvation. My car started fuel starving after a long sweeping turn on a 12 degree bank, it happened after burning 8 gallons off from full. Car averaged 6.2mpg on the track

#3 Gears are GREAT in this car, you should be able to do most track with just 3rd or 4th and the occasional 5th on the big tracks. I am not sure if you need 2nd unless it is below 45mph.

#4 Car is very easy to drive, it does everything you want, nothing special or hard about it. The aero seems to be very good too as it never danced around on me like the Corvette.

#5 I have a 25R oil cooler, I was running 160F cruising to the track at 60 degree temp. At 70 degree temp at the track, I averaged 220-230F. It got up to 240 when I started beating on it hard. I wonder if this could be an issue on a hotter day? Surprisingly, the under hood temp was very low. The engine oil was just hot.

#6 Throttle response is better at the track (since i am above 4500 most of the time), but it is still weak compare to the 350 in terms of feel.

Just finished another day. A couple more notes for you guys

#7 The VDC is horrible, I left it on for my warmup lap and the dash light was flashing like a xmas tree. I didn't go fast enough to cut engine power, but no doubt the VDC would cut into the life of the pads even under regular driving on track. I was doing my warmup lap, imagine if it was a lap at speed. I did a lap with full VDC on, it was 5 sec slower. It just kept applying the brakes and cutting power even when I am not snapping lose. The E46 M3 I drove had a much better VDC system, it never kicked in unless you are out of control.

#8 Bridgestone RE11 is an amazing street tire. It still cant do multiple hot laps like the R comps, but it can definitely hold its own in the times department (1-2.5 sec slower than R comps).

Back to #2, the starvation is definitely an issue that needs to be looked at. My car started cutting out after burning only 6 gallons at a different track. It is mostly long continuous right handers that causes the fuel starve

Back to #5, it was about 85-90F today. The car was running slightly more, but still mostly between 220-260. I did start to creep past 260 when I did my 4th straight hot laps.
