Wait until you see what people spend on CF parts to get only a couple lb of weight reduction!

Simple question, can you just buy the battery and bolt it straight in? Group buy charles?

phunk 12-22-2020 06:44 PM

Yes you can just swap it right in, nothing has to change. I am already selling them at a discount from the prices shown, no GB needed!

Spooler 12-22-2020 07:15 PM

If you price the kit on AntiGravity's site it adds up to 1k.

$660 for a part that has endurance of a normal battery while cutting all that fat, with added fancy tech. Race car stuff without “because race car” sacrifice. That’s never gonna be cheap.

Not arguing about subjective views, but....people spend $200+ on shift knob, more on fake wheels....in the grand scheme, I don’t think this battery’s cost is bad at all.

Look up a guy named Robert (or Bob) Linton, IG robertlinton1.

TLDR: he has commissioned beryllium calipers for a couple of his Porsches. His pursuit for street car weight saving while retaining OEM (or better than OEM) functionality and fitment knows no bound, literally.

Some cars leave the factory with a lithium ion battery these days, such as the BMW M4:

Look at the price over there, ouch. Check out the amp hours though, niiice.

Bite the pillow on that. They're going in dry.

LMAO, I don't understand logic of some bit then again I am not logical when it comes to my Z. That said the battery is less than a set of tires and last you longer than four sets of tires!

Lithium battery added to the build sheet

I mean, I've already spent thousands on parts that probably won't ever be installed on my car so I can't say shět about the cost :rofl2:

The value of my yet-to-be-installed parts far outweighs my installed parts

OptionZero - How is this battery treating you?

OptionZero 07-29-2024 01:37 PM

awesome

push-button restart is a nice feature, i had the car sitting for a while not plugging into the tender and the charge ran down. Convenient to just hit it and start the car.

weight savings are incredibly if you pick up the lithium and a normal battery consecutively

The Phunk package includes bluetooth monitoring to your phone so you can check the power level easily

one of my favorite mods

highly recommend

I have had mine longer than he has had his and I have had no issues.
