I was thinking more like this.

24' inTech Aluminum Car Hauler | Aluminum Car Trailers for Sale | RPM Trailer Sales

GaleForce 02-25-2018 05:52 PM

I'm using an ATC 24' aluminum car hauler with side escape door.

I have no idea. My guess is 18k to 22k. They have no prices listed. I did see that they had junk Chinese tires on them. I didn't like that at all.

Do you guys think I can pull that trailer to Fontana village with my dually? I don't remember the max trailer length. I have been talking with the wife about it. I have 2 trips to Maryland this year and whatever else I need it for. Track days would be good, car shows with the Grand Sport. If I paid someone to trailer it to Maryland enclosed it would be 1K each way. For what I will be spending in the next couple of years the darn trailer would pay for itself.

Rusty 02-26-2018 12:00 AM

What do you have for a dually?

Zoren 370 02-26-2018 12:34 AM

Grand sport for car show?

Show me pls.

2004 Dodge Quad Cab SLT long bed 2wd 5.9 Cummins. Modified of coarse. I use it to tow my LQ horse trailer. I just did the brakes on the front today, they lasted 150k miles. Rears lasted until 130k. I bought it used, one year old in 2005.

If you towed a horse trailer with it. You'll have no problems towing that enclosed car trailer.

Zoren 370 02-26-2018 01:06 AM

You two old guys go to sleep!

Trailer your azz to bed! Goodness!

The side escape and e-track with tire straps are worth the money. I also use/needed Race Ramps trailer ramps because of the diffusers on my car.

LOL, I wasn't worried about the truck at all. I prefer a Gooseneck trailer but it appears they are more pricey than a bumper pull. What I am worried about is the length limit going to Fontana Village.

It’s also a 102” wide one; be prepared to take up a lotta road.

I have an open trailer and totally agree on getting the e-track and tire straps. I also have Race Ramps, the longest set they make, LOL.

Posting in on this one. I'll be in the market really soon for a car hauler...

FI, and a few others get their trailers to the village. Depends on which way you go in for your comfort level. I towed a 35ft camper in northeast Pa on some roads that was almost as twisted.

Just know that going will be slow!!!

LOL, my horse trailer is no shrimp. It is 32ft on the floor plus the gooseneck and is 8 foot wide with a Living Quarters. I have been in the mountains before with it. I have to put the whole truck in the left ditch to make a right turn when I go get hay.

Spooler 02-26-2018 12:41 PM

Ouch, this is par for the coarse. Champagne taste and beer wallet. It is $26,900. That is more than I want to spend.

Spooler 02-26-2018 01:16 PM

This is a better price, but I would have to order and add an escape door and Etrax.

You can do what I had to do. U-haul! Or your wife can sell another dog.

gomer_110 02-26-2018 07:43 PM

Best bet is to look for a used trailer. Aluminum trailers that haven't been heavily abused hold up very well and should be cheaper that new by a decent amount.

Might checkout racingjunk.com. They often have listings for decent used trailers.

Great minds think alike. That is where I have been looking. I would prefer a used one that someone else took the hit on and hardly used.

Yeah, I could do that but what would be the fun in it. I would miss out on searching for the needle in the hay stack. I can justify spending the money on one, Why not see if I can find one at a good price.

Spooler 02-26-2018 10:02 PM

Getting closer. Sundowner is a good trailer.

I have the car carrying version of one of these because "old-man" and can load on my own.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJyrLJuL_qg

Wasn't cheap though ~ $10K AUD but it tows like a dream and has a payload of 1320 kgs

Has been self built for around $7K AUD for steel, airbags and control equipment and registration.

Is open deck but does have the ali front to it which protects the car from road debris

European based but you could also look at these .... www.turatello,co.uk but I suspect you'd be better off seeking USDM trailer

What options were on it? I bought mine for far less, and in Canadian dollars... The US greenback is far more favourable.

Spooler 02-27-2018 07:09 AM

A little bigger than what I would like but it is a good deal.
