A couple the turns I should be down shifting to 2nd gear, but I stay in 3rd because I spin in 2nd gear even when the r888 are up to temperature and that day the track temps in the morning were in the 50s. I actually spun out coming out of the turns after 4 laps of warming up the tire. I hit the throttle and next thing I know I'm sideways.

It is the exact problem that my friend faced with his C6Z06, he installed heads and cam and he got around 650whp @ dyno, he said even in third the car isn't hooking on r888r, next thing he did was to get Hoosier A7 for the track :yum: but we have a flat track, I am sure it is harder to do with the turbo spool in the track you attend. I am sure you will do much better in tracks with higher speed turns.

:iagree: Next season I may will probably get a set of Hoosier since I have two sets of race wheels.

Hotrodz, How are you getting on the throttle? Do you know where your spoolup threshold is? What RPM. One trick is to enter the turn faster, at higher RPM and under boost, and stab on and off the brake to keep the car on boost while still mashing the throttle. This will keep the car from going through the spoolup threshold that unsettles the car in the rear when exiting. The bad, your car has got to stick in the middle of the turn at a faster speed. Turbo cars can be a pain in the butt to drive correctly. Try some different stuff from more experienced folks at the track. Someone has to know what can help you get through the turn and exit at a good speed.

Boost come on early at about 2500 or so there is no real way to ease in to it. Hopefully some day there will be boost by gear so no boost in first or second but so far no go on that. Hard to find boosted rear wheel drive cars at the track. Most are front wheel or AWD cars. I will try your heel toe method and see if that helps. I really am hoping the new NT01's prove to be sticky enough to hold the power.

Yikes, 2500 is way early. No wonder they call a stage 1 FI kit a torque monster. If that is the case you may consider going faster in the corners that you can and waiting to roll on the go pedal until you are just about out of the turn. No wonder you are having trouble. Bigger turbo's will help that. LOL

That is why I am considering stage 2 turbos when I build the engine. Seb can't keep the tq down and has told me more than once that my motor is one if the torque-iest motors he has tuned. She make power!

Love it! Considering you flew by traffic by 30+mph each pass I'd say they so as well! Good stuff Bob, keep it up!
