I think we're in the wrong section of the forum.

hustleman222 11-19-2016 11:11 PM

I'm gonna get to the track in due time

Subscribed to your thread and following your progress. Which means, you have to keep this thing active. Can't start something and not finish right? Should actually be in the Member's 370Z Gallery.

hustleman222 11-20-2016 01:37 AM

That's funny...but my motivation came from a friend running a Camaro putting 400+ whp. I can't be getting beat like that

Brendan 11-21-2016 09:44 PM

So what are goals for this build?

To run 12s in Louisiana heat...then put somewhere around 450-500hp to the ground

Zbrah 12-12-2016 04:03 AM

Let's get some updates in here. Are we getting closer to that hp goal yet?

Just saw your old Nismo in the album. She was a beauty! Sucks to see a total loss but glad to see you made it out fine.

Update...I hit a coyote a mile away from home. I just paid the collision shop today, hopefully they call this week to pick it up.

hustleman222 01-02-2017 02:06 AM

Well, looks like the radiator and power steering coolers needing changing. They also told me the oil cooler I just put on the same day I brought to them needs changing to. He had a stunned look on his face when I told him I dropped it off jack stands and brought it to him the day I did the upgrade...oh and I have pics of the cooler the day of because I was gonna post pics for the routed hoses. So I'm going to take this opportunity to upgrade the power steering cooler to a Mishimoto and radiator to CSF 7011 Racing radiator. Oh and replace the Setrab 34 row oil cooler because they scraped the bottom row with a pry bar for more money.

hustleman222 01-02-2017 03:46 AM

I'm gonna have them put my Stillen headers and the test pipes on also, since the radiator is going to be out...might as well.

Hotrodz 01-02-2017 07:36 PM

I would check out Z1 headers...people really seem to like them!

Too late...I already have the Stillen ceramic headers and gonna wrap them tomorrow for good measure.

ramoszx12r 01-12-2017 08:49 PM

That looks low for a 2015 Nismo. It should be closer to the 300hp at the wheels.

Could be the type of dyno they used. It's not a dynojet.

Yeap, There is a used set in the Classifieds.

hustleman222 01-13-2017 12:07 AM

It was a dynodanamics...after i get the tune on it...I'm gonna get some better numbers from a dynojet hopefully

Went to the track last night, I just got my car back from the shop and I have installed a Motordyne upper intake manifold, Stillen Gen3 intakes, and the AAM R-Line 3" dual CBE, but haven't had time to put the headers, test pipes, transmission oil cooler, or lower intake manifold on. Without a tune and on the OEM bridgstone tires and ran 13.47@ 105mph. In the Louisiana heat

hustleman222 09-16-2017 10:48 PM

Why am I not in the 12s

3 Attachment(s)
I went to the track a few weeks ago after doing a tune and ran in similar weather to the previous post with a time of 13.39.
The Dyno shows the tune with 302whp for this run.

I added the Z1 ported lower intake manifold, Motordyne ART test pipes, Stillen headers, and another tune and went to the strip and ran a 13.12 in 90 degree heat (full bolt on). The Dyno now shows 312whp.

12 second car finally

I installed reflective heat tape on my intakes and did it. Went to the strip the other night and ran 12.83 @ 108mph...Its about time. Temp was right @ 77 degrees. FYI the paddle shifters work much better on the auto than just drive. In drive I ran consistent 13.04 then swapped to paddles and ran consistent 12.8s. In auto it seems that it hits redline and hesitates to shift costing a few tenths.

Nice work keep it going.

Keeping it going

Today I ordered a set of forgestars wrapped in Nitto NT-05R 305/35/19. Hopefully I won't have to wait too long, I can't wait to see these on.

This was my first time with drag radials on and I don't believe I got them hot enough. Beautiful weather out and got into the 12.7s

New setup

I recently took off the Motordyne upper intake and replaced it with the Z1 Motorsports upper. Then added the EPS big bore throttle bodies. I'm going to try and get to the track and see what it does... Stay tuned.

Btw, the fronts came in and I'm loving it

Just wanted to throw a few picks out and give a shout-out to getyourwheels.com they have had some pretty awesome customer service. I emailed a question and Jason got right back to me in about 3 mins, this was 2 weeks after I received my wheels.
Btw I had the door handles painted to color match and I wrapped the front nismo moldings to match the wheels

I finally made it back to the strip with similar weather. (75 degrees / bar @ 30.1) Without getting retuned after adding EPS Throttle bodies, and swapping out the motordyne intake for the ported Z1 I ran consistent 12.88, 12.925 (2x), 12.95. None of the 60' times were below a 2.03, take that for what you will. This was WITHOUT a retune. Here shortly I have Admin intakes coming in and will have a retune for them.
Do it for science! And yeah... That's right...I finally got that trophy. (Bracket winner)

EDIT: After getting the retune with the Admin intakes, EPS throttle bodies, and Z1 upper swapped out the initial run had the low end torque and hp lower than the M370 manifold. Jay worked with it and got it back to around the same on the low end.

Looking good friend. Congratulations! I was busy at NOLA and clocked a 1:56 lap time that weekend.

Very Good; as I nipped the 12’s with my first of 3 passes before my car got totaled on the way home.
I know I could have got lower with smaller rear wheels/tires & some weight out of the back.
Had 345/30/19’s on 12’s...but they heated well with the line-loc & hooked all 3 passes.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4f4ba61331.jpg
Other 2 were 13.011 & 13.022

After installing the Admin 3" intakes I got retuned for the 70mm throttle bodies, Z1 ported upper manifold, and Admin 3" intakes. I went from 312whp to 316whp after the tune (SAE). Yesterday I went to the strip again and ran 8.1- ⅛ mile and 12.57 - ¼ mile. The best ⅛ mile I had in similar weather was a 8.2, so it really picked up some time.

Seems like I don't have a lot more to do as far as bolt on. The updated 1/4 mile times on Facebook have me at 6th place right now. Scratching my head on what I should do next to get top 3. While I'm scratching I added some looks and weight. The seibon hood is right at 3lbs heavier than stock.

Hotrodz 06-15-2018 11:44 AM

What camber settings are you running front and rear. You want the rear to be as close to 0 as possible as you gain crazy camber on launching the Z.
