Two 370Z's Playing at Summit Point

Forum member TakJak is driving the white Z with Crux riding shotgun. I am in a 2009 with 108K miles on it. Apart from K&N drop in filters the motor is bone stock.

Safety is important to me so I have gutted the interior and have a 6 point roll bar and race seats. I run a HANS device and use a custom cool shirt system covered by a SFI rated TraqGear shirt (this shirt is not only fire resistant it is so comfortable my wife wears it to sleep).

For my exhaust I simply removed the muffler and attached open pipes. I have a custom front splitter and a massive custom rear wing that plants me in the corner but hurts my top speed on the straights.

I am running well worn 275/35/18 Nitto NT01's on all four corners. My brakes are CarboTech XP-12 up front and Porterfield R-4's in back (why? they have been sitting in my garage for years) with 2.5 inch brake ducts, steel lines, and Castrol SRF.

Looks like a blast and thanks for sharing...

Seems to me that you were nailing the corners like a pro.

Looks like a BLAST MAN, I really hope to get to an event this summer with my sedan. Nice to see she's at 108 and still running stong:)

Mike, do you have a passenger seat? I love to go for a ride.

Negative....for now. I'll be happy if it can knock off some 1:20 laps by the later sessions. Lots of little things to work through. Should get down in the 17's by late fall on fresh tires.

Did you happen to spot a black Gt3 (996) out there? That was my father. He was out there all weekend as well!

Any safe car is allowed on track. As a novice you will be paired with an instructor.

1:20 is absolutely flying. I think my best lap ever was in the high 1:26 range with my averages around 1:28.

First time ever out in the car with no aero, REALLY heavy and corded NT01's it ran 1:23-1:24''s in traffic. It's about 250lbs less, full aero and A hoosiers now :).
