Two 370Z's Playing at Summit Point
Forum member TakJak is driving the white Z with Crux riding shotgun. I am in a 2009 with 108K miles on it. Apart from K&N drop in filters the motor is bone stock. Safety is important to me so I have gutted the interior and have a 6 point roll bar and race seats. I run a HANS device and use a custom cool shirt system covered by a SFI rated TraqGear shirt (this shirt is not only fire resistant it is so comfortable my wife wears it to sleep). For my exhaust I simply removed the muffler and attached open pipes. I have a custom front splitter and a massive custom rear wing that plants me in the corner but hurts my top speed on the straights. I am running well worn 275/35/18 Nitto NT01's on all four corners. My brakes are CarboTech XP-12 up front and Porterfield R-4's in back (why? they have been sitting in my garage for years) with 2.5 inch brake ducts, steel lines, and Castrol SRF. |
Looks like a blast and thanks for sharing...
Seems to me that you were nailing the corners like a pro. |
Car should be done for the June 6-7 Summit event...
...prepare yourselves for the old 350z to come chugging on bye :). |
Was that this past weekend by chance Resipsa?
|
Looks like a BLAST MAN, I really hope to get to an event this summer with my sedan. Nice to see she's at 108 and still running stong:)
|
Mike, do you have a passenger seat? I love to go for a ride.

First time ever out in the car with no aero, REALLY heavy and corded NT01's it ran 1:23-1:24''s in traffic. It's about 250lbs less, full aero and A hoosiers now :).

I don't know about all that...the car is stupid fast. Even before, in BSP autox trim, you had to try and put a put wrong with it....
|
Nice dude!
|
Tons of fun going back and forth. My car was twitchy all weekend, and I struggled to put power down with stock vlsd, no aero, and an iffy alignment.
Great feeling dragging behind Rep's big wing down the straight and coming out inside on 1. Now I need a wing :happydance: |
Nice. U looked faster in the corners. Good line.

Great stuff boys, I got a kick out of it just watching!

Pics?
Was the white and old blue car both BMW's? That white 335? Was moving. Good call on safety first. |
That looks like sooooo much fun!!! Wish we had something like that here. The old and new bimmer 3 series were just flew by good grief never to be seen again.

but that blue BMW was just fast! no way I was hanging with him. |
I was going to ask what was up with you waving at people but didn't want to sound like a total newbie. Cool, very cool.
|
So far no problems with a vvel?

In fact, it kinda pisses me off when I point someone bye and they don't give me a waive (assuming they are in a situation where they could waive). On the same token, if someone points me bye to pass and I have no intention of taking the pass I will waive it off (any hand waiving inside the car). The thumbs up in the car is just an acknowledgement of good driving, good times, etc... |
