Sounds like ASP but without a complete list of mods (suspension, drivetrain, etc.) I can't say definitively.

no suspension mods. only intake, exhaust, and tune. also a 34 row oil cooler. most are listed in my sig.

Just the intake takes you out of BS

seems kinda dumb that a small power adder bumps you up into a class with Ferraris and whatnot.

In all reality ASP is primarily Evo's, WRX's (including STI's), and Solstices with the occasional MR2 thrown in. The Z is definitely an underdog in my opinion given that the boost buggies are able to make 400+ hp and 400+ ft-lbs at the wheels along with weighing ~400 lbs less.

I'd be wearing a jacket if I had run my BSP car in ASP last year...

I've pulled that with my hp+ pads. Overall I liked em but more towards the end of their life they started to Not work so well for autocross. At that point I kept switching back to stock pads for some events because my hawk pads just refused to stop even though the pad had some life left.

I'm planning on installing and bedding the Hawk pads today, to switch back to OEM pads do they need any bedding, or just install and go?

So my stock 370Z with just K&N short rams and 245/285 tires falls into ASP now because of the intakes? I'm screwed haha

Yep. If you downsize to 255 on 9's all the way around, you could run STR.

Who's ready for AutoX season??

Only run I recorded at Evo School yesterday, last run of the day. This course setup I had run a 27.72 and a 28.11, my instructor challenged me to run a 27.2, I ran 26.82. Overall I learned a lot and really had some good times with the instruction, only the Z06's were running faster. I've got to work on my hand work, they stayed on me about the way I turn the wheel.

Sam Strano and Tom Sotiropoulos

Don't know Tom, but Sam doesn't suck.

gomer_110 03-22-2015 07:47 PM

IMHO you had one of the best in the business. Had Sam as an instructor last year and learned more in 5 min. than I probably had in the course of my entire 2.5 seasons of doing autox.

First points event this weekend at Milton Frank Stadium. Should be fun
