These wheels are a great choice for those who love the look and design of a timeless classic but cannot afford or justify spending $3500+ on a set of wheels.

Alternatively, they are also good as light track wheels or for a set of daily driving wheels if you don't want to bend or damage your high priced wheels.

Varrstoen Wheels are both JWL and VIA certified.

And do the 18's clear sport brakes?

SE 07-29-2010 07:54 PM

Yes they do make them in 18" sizing. 18x8 +35 and 18x9 +15. I am not 100% sure if they clear the factory Akebono.

I'll have to get back to you on pricing tomorrow. Send me a PM with what you're looking for.

lllll210lllll 07-29-2010 08:03 PM

damn. these are clean and reasonable price!

+22 is what we need for the front (most of us) and from what ive read, they do not clear the factory BBK. bummer.

After reading your comment, I called Varrstoen directly about this issue. They informed me that the 19x9.5 +22 fronts DO have a slight clearance issue- 3 to 5mm. As a result, we will not be offering a 19x9.5 +22 front without a disclaimer that you will need to use a spacer to fit the wheels.

Thank you for the information.

Is 19x9.5" +12 too aggressive for the fronts..??

I'm gonna lower with Eibach's.. What tire could I fit there to avoid rubbing..?? Stock size only..??

SE 07-30-2010 05:52 PM

It isn't too terribly aggressive but it will be a little difficult to fit anything wider than a 245/35 without going out of OEM camber specs.

Could I use the stock ones which are 245/40..??

That might be cutting it a little close. You can always try to dial in more camber, however your ability to fine-tune the fitment would be limited if you're not running height adjustable suspension.

What about getting the fronts in +22 and putting in 5mm spacers to end up with +17..??

How would this work..?? Would I need more than 5mm spacers to clear the sport Akebono's..?? The next ones in size are the 10mm ones and for that matter it would be the same as getting the wheels in +12...

Caravanshaka 07-31-2010 10:35 AM

Interested in 18x9 +15 all around for a different car. How difficult are the matte finishes to clean?

SE 08-02-2010 05:13 PM

The +22 fronts should clear with a 5mm spacer if you have the sport package.

The matte finish is a little more difficult to clean than the standard gloss but they don't scratch as easily.

SE 08-03-2010 04:39 PM

We will be including 5mm spacers free of charge for those with Akebono/sport package calipers for clearance.

will the 19x10.5 +0 fit without any issues in the rear?

SE 08-19-2010 01:34 AM

Depends on what tire size you run. A 305/30 will fit fine without any issues. Anything wider and you may hit the fender.
