Default F1 Parking BEWARE!!!

As all of you know the US Grand Prix is this weekend here in Austin. For those of you who are attending the race this weekend beware this parking that is right next to COTA. Last year they charged us $40 and that came with a ride to and from the track via golf cart. First off they did not take us all the way to the track and they did not even give us a ride back. We also found out that they were charging different rates to different people. Just don't want to see anyone get ripped off the way that we did. For those of you who are going have fun try to stay dry.

I went the first year and taking the bus from downtown was a major pain. I refuse to drive because I like a few beers at the race and vow never to drink and drive. Even though I love the track at Austin, I go to Montreal ever year instead. Can't beat being able to take the Metro right to the track. Too bad Austin is too small to have a full public transportation system. It took forever to queue up for the buses both directions and then a long walk to the track. Maybe they've come up with a better system?

The folks at Austin need to talk to the folks at Indy to learn how to move a lot of people to and from a major race.....

True. We went to the F1 races at Indy and the buses were great. Better yet, they should do it like Montreal and put in a subway. LOL
