Good deal. Maybe put a couple pinholes in the wrap to help air escape? As you know I had my headlights done and was informed that due to the intense heat the HIDs give off that the paint may bubble. I think it's just one of those things we roll the dice on.

FYI: I am a bit jealous of the CF wrapped headlights. I never thought of that. Good job!

I also think it did that was because that was a spot I had the most trouble with and kept resticking it to get it perfect so it may have lost adhesive. Thanks!

and CoolKid, 250 degrees for 10 min is perfect. to pry it open just start from the top and VERY slowly pull it apart. A blow dryer will help loosen it more as you are opening it. Make sure you follow the DIY and take off bulbs and wires and stuff and use a damp towel on top of a cookie sheet when placing it in.

Looks great...ready to help out others eh? Wanna help me do mine one day lol? I know it's a PITA to do. BTW where did you buy the CF wrap anywhere local or 3M online? I don't want to do the whole thing with the wrap, maybe just the landing strip and paint the rest black.

VDC_OFF 04-12-2012 06:49 PM

Doing just the landing strip part is a piece of cake, I might have some extra leftover for that, we'll see. I bought a 60"x24" roll on amazon. I dont mind helping, but if my wife dont see some money, she wont release her honey lol. Seriously though, she owns me on the weekends since we both work during the week, so getting permission to work on someone elses car may not go so well, especially with the hours this takes. Just pm me if you are serious.

Did these headlights for Bryan recently, I like how they came out. I painted them full silver to match the wheels better, no more chrome ;)

No takers? VDC is a beast at modding headlights, and beats having to ship them off somewhere :tiphat:
