In regards to the owner of the Supercharges 370 nismo- far from d-bag. Maybe something was said that was taken wrong but he's a very calm person ( maybe just his Demenor is calm and it came off wrong)

I heard about the GTM 2.5 conversation and it seemed to go a little differently but what do I know.

I just reAd all the post. If I seemed like a jerk when u said you can get at least 550 hp with a stg 2 kit, I was just trying to get you to understand that 550hp sc would be a major feat. And it would take a lot of heart ache and money to reach that goal. Just speaking for a monetary stand point turbo would be the way to go. And from my experience with sc So far has been good, but I don't like it when someone corners me and ask me how much money I spent on everything. And as far as I knew the wholesale pricing through gtm is non existent with their sc kits. The reality here is don't be rude to someone and ask a personal question about how much money was spent, but rather talk about our driving experience enhancements with our z's. Which I though this was all about. FYI I have been a DIY guy all my life. I did not hire a shop to do any installs for me. I probably know more than u think. Peace out! Sorry for ruffled feathers. I truly am!

Ha! No prob. I think our opposite personalities clash a bit. I heard from somewhere you are a calmer, less spoken guy, and I tend to ramble. So I probably caught you off-guard. Anyway, love your ride man, even though it does sound like a shop vac :icon17: :tiphat:

I know I've been taken the wrong way. I have to feel the person out first. When you have a highly modified car it attracts, not only those with knowledge, but the idiots. And you get some of the stupidest questions and comments and sometimes it get frustrating. So sometimes you come off wrong.

This is exactly what happened here.
Synak when you come up talking a bunch of sillyness about stages and things, people tend to think you dont know what you are talking about. Hence why the conversation didnt last very long.

I was standing right there when you told him the 2.5 kit came with a custom tune and injectors... Some of the information you were throwing out was a little off base, and honestly I dont think I would have taken you seriously either. You told him the 2.5 comes with a "Custom tune" and a few other things... Most people that are doing these modifications tune their car regardless of the stage.

The stage 2.5 kit doesnt exist... Anyone can buy a blower and piece together GTM parts.

I am pretty sure you were confused about the other white nismo because it doesnt have the bbk lol.

The tune, injectors, heat exchanger, etc I was referring to were just random mods that came out of my mouth. What I meant by 2.5 was that it was the 2 with upgrades beyond what came with the kit like some of the things I mentioned above. Everyone knows a supercharger's worst enemy is heat. Wouldn't want to get heat-soaked especially in Texas. I do admit I came off fast like I probably didn't know what I'm talking about. In reality though I do have a bit of experience with superchargers. I had a 06 Cobalt SS before this with 320whp, which is hard to do with the stock S/C. That's just another reason I'd rather go S/C than T/C. Not to mention it's cheaper and easier to install DIY.

Pics and vids on Facebook and Youtube.

All I got to say is set realistic expectations. 550 hp sc would require more than what you have just suggested. And I thought that gtm integrated an air to air intercooler rather than a heat exchanger like stillen. I may be wrong though, since my experience with sc is only about a month in the making.

corbin09 04-17-2012 04:31 PM

sorry. I am bad.

Niztalgic 04-17-2012 04:35 PM

Still yet, big 500+ hp would be much more cost effective and realistic with turbo. And I believe everyone could agree with this.
