Courtesy Nissan wants me to trade my New base model 370Z, for a Touring with Sport Package their invoice is around 40,000 and said the payment will be around $400 monthly. Question is? Is that even possible? Sounds to good to be True!

Is there members who have bought cars from them? I only heard bad reviews about them.

Rui Z 05-19-2011 08:30 PM

How much money do you still owe on your base model? How many years is the new $400/month loan?

metz 05-19-2011 08:37 PM

Yeah lots of info left out there.

PDiddy 05-19-2011 08:39 PM

First payment coming soon for mine. They didn't say I hope not like 8-10 years.

Lemers 05-19-2011 08:48 PM

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

Rui Z 05-19-2011 09:25 PM

Did you do $0 down payment on your current loan?

Waiz 05-19-2011 09:30 PM

Do not shop by monthly cost only, you will get screwed.

How many months is the financing for?

He doesn't even know that. This guy doesn't sound like he's good with money.

Yea just wanted to see what other members are saying? I would never do a 8-10 year car loan.

Having more doesn't mean you are better with it.

I know just messing with Rui Z.

They won't give me a number until I go in, but I know it will be a waste of my time.

Told them I didn't care about the touring, just the Sport Package. Got mine from another dealer, and this one keeps calling me even when they know I just got one. I told them to let me have it for base with sport package price.

I'm with this. That is not a good sign when you want a different car and haven't even made the first payment on the one you just bought. Don't just go by the monthly payments. Get all the details so you know what you are paying for the 'upgrade'.

Splinter 05-20-2011 12:48 AM

no way you can get a touring/sport for that much, i was offered a touring/sport when i was first shopping and after all the number crunching it was like $650/mo for 5 years.
even a base/sport at invoice is about 500/mo for 5 years, including ttl, and interest and a small down payment.

tsolin01 05-20-2011 02:12 AM

Touring + sport package for 40k is a rip off btw.

JB-370z 05-20-2011 07:57 AM

nice name, pdiddy, you got all the money bro

That's the first dealership I went to in '09 when I was looking for my Z. The sales guy called the manager in real quick and pretty much wasted my time. He kept asking me what I thought the value of the Z was. He wouldn't budge on anything but was willing to make my monthly payments as "low" as I want it to be. The manager was pretty cocky. I ended up getting my Z somewhere else. I gave them another chance to sell me a car in '10 when the wife wanted a Nissan Juke. I pretty much had the same experience and left. On another note, their parts department is pretty good. :)

tsolin01 05-20-2011 09:21 AM

Best dealership experience I've had so far where the sales person was the most straight forward is Bankston Nissan Dallas. I had thought Courtesy was ok but never dealt with the sales department.

You'll end up losing money regardless whenever you trade up cars so I would keep what you currently have and make the most of it. Touring + Sport package isn't worth it IMO for the hit you're going to take. You might as well add those parts yourself with that extra money you're going to spend.

Sidz 05-20-2011 10:02 AM

I bought the nismo from Courtesy. 41k and payments are 365/month for 5years but I put down 20k.

It all depends on the interest rate and how much you're putting down or trading in or both and how many years you're financing for etc.

Lemers 05-20-2011 01:42 PM

Were they trying to get you on a lease?

sexZness 05-20-2011 05:45 PM

Courtesy - great service and parts department, sales not so much
Bankston Nissan Iriving - Great sales, financing dept sucked - Got my car there :)
Nissan of McKinney - DON'T EVEN BOTHER :roflpuke2: seriously

and I can almost guarantee you that deal they're trying to "hook you up with" is a total ripoff

PDiddy 05-20-2011 05:58 PM

Yea gonna stick with mine, I didn't want to trade it in and lose money. I'll tell these's mofo to stop calling me. I never said I was not Happy with what I got. But they won't stop and won't give up, getting Sick of it. Thanks guys good Advice!
