I'm running the Rouge Engineering on mine. Shorter throw, still firm feeling. I think TWM performance and AMS shifters were good also. Can't remember the reviews on the B&M

Will throw the word out, can't guarantee there will be a large group.

obito 08-29-2012 04:15 PM

I just got my Z. Im also in SA. If I have time I would love to join cruise.

NBZ34 08-29-2012 04:27 PM

As the cruise rapidly approaches, there are some points I would like to cover before we meet up:

We will be meeting at the Buc-ees in New Braunfels off I-35 and FM 306 (exit 191). The address is: 2760 IH 35 North, New Braunfels Tx, 78130. We will be meeting in the parking area at the left of the store. Please be there by 10am. At that point, we will form the groups and cover any questions that drivers may have. This will also be an opportune time to fill up with gas!

1. Who all has a 2-way radio, radar detector or scanner? This will be extremely helpful in relaying to the rest of group(s). I would like some volunteers with radios for the front, middle and rear of a group.

2. Depending on the number of vehicles participating, I am planning on splitting into groups of 5-10.

3. I am tossing around the idea of having a "spirited" group and a "leisure" group. I would like a head-count of who plans on driving 'spirited'. This group will be the lead group.

4. ***SAFETY***
PLEASE make sure to check fluid levels, tire pressure, treadwear and other safety checks prior to the event (it may be wise to remove the driver side floor mat as well to avoid interference with the pedals).
-All drivers will be liable for their own vehicles.

-Do NOT drive outside your ability on the curves at the "sisters". All it takes is one slipup for something really bad to happen!

-Be respectful of other vehicles - i guarantee there will be a number of motorcycles also cruising out there.

5. If you have a passenger, have them take pics and videos! If you have a GoPro cam, make sure to bring it - you'll regret it later if you dont!

6. And most of all... HAVE FUN!

Once we leave Buc-ees at 10:30, we will head south on I35 to the TX-46 exit. We will then take 46 West looping around New Braunfels and then head out to Boerne. After we pass Boerne, we will turn right on to TX-16 and take that through Bandera and Medina. Then we will turn left on Hwy 337 for the first "sister". Once we get into the town of Leaky, we can stop to get gas (for those who need to). We will then continue west on 337 for about a mile and eat lunch at the Bent Rim Grill. After lunch, we continue west on 337 into Camp Wood, TX. We will then head north on 335 (the second 'sister') to hwy 41. We can stop here for a break, let cars cool down, take pics, etc). Then head east for about 8 miles and make a right on 336 (the 3rd 'sister'). This will take us back into Leaky where we will make a left on 337 to head back home.

People should save the map or print if needed. I had little phone reception when we were out by the sisters. Two way radios help too

Edit: this is for those of us without navigation :p

I get 'page not available' from my phone

SA370 08-29-2012 09:40 PM

R2C intake installed, love the growl! For those that have the dreaded 2nd gear issue (grind), I changed the oil to amsoil, shifts much better!

Boost_lee 08-29-2012 09:53 PM

Thanks for the heads up!

Which weight amsoil did you go with? Can't remember if it's amsoil or redline that I was looking into...

75w90. Got the ph# for local amsoil rep if you would like it. Actually changed all fluids over to amsoil, seems smoother and quieter.
