While cars and coffee is a thing, most of the Austin crowd just tend to hang out from time to time. Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio are much more active than a lot of the Austin folk, so expect some weird looks if you honk and wave at other Z's. In my experience most of them tend to not be on the forums.
