No, I'm from Cali originally. I've lived in WA state on and off since 2001. Technically I'm still a WA resident. I work for a Defense contractor so I'm here in Texas on TDY/per diem status for the next year. I move around ALL the time, more so than when I was in the Army.

Yes sir, work on Ft. Hood. I'm an instructor for General Dynamics. I've been with the Stryker program since 2005. I train soldiers how to operate these 20ton killing machines

Nice! I was thinking of applying there soon. I'm getting a lil burned out on the tech job I'm doing at Mabry here in Austin. Hows the work environment?

Well since the wars are dying down there is talk about down sizing in our department next year. You could always go online and apply. You would have to be extremely flexible with this type of work. I've moved across the country 4 different times in the past 7 years with this company.

We're getting some much needed rain, with the Weather Channel showing at
least a 50% chance of rain for Leander the rest of the morning. I suggest we
chill this month and pick it up again for next month's show (Sun, Jun 3)

Pintsize725 05-06-2012 08:49 AM

Really? Can't we at least meet for breakfast or something?

Zaggeron 05-06-2012 09:01 AM

They cancelled it in February with less rain than we're seeing/expecting to see. Historically, it gets cancelled if its wet.

Sorry folks.

Pintsize725 05-06-2012 09:03 AM

Well I'm dressed and awake so I guess I'll still head to the meet up spot in case anyone else doesn't see this. Maybe I can talk them into breakfast.......I'm starving.

I would join you if I lived closer, but I'm at the far south end of town.

No worries sir, catch you next time. :tiphat:

I say we plan another evening event between now and next C&C or even a daytime thing like a drive out to Lake Travis.

Zaggeron 05-06-2012 09:17 AM

Definitely up for something before the next Cars & Coffee ...

Lime Creek Rd is a fun, but short, local drive -- maybe lunch/Dinner or something afterwards.
