How many times has the meet been in Fort Worth versus North Dallas area?

I think the once in a blue moon time it's in Arlington should get a little more respect/enthusiasm.

I hate the idea of driving up to North Dallas in that shitty traffic but I plan to show up at a meet or two, driving all the way from South Fort Worth. I get the idea of let's not make 20 people drive 30-40 miles and only 1 guy drive 5 sort of thing...but you really shouldn't affiliate yourself as "DFW" then if you aren't willing to make some sort of sacrifice to own up to the name.

Just sharing my thoughts, no reason to get bent up over it...I'm certainly not. Just stating the obvious.

I miss coming out to meets but seems pointless to go with no car. My car is getting dyno'd one last time tomorrow and then transport is being arranged to have it back by the end of next week.

I'm already signed up for 3 car shows in the next 6 weeks and do plan to make Dallas Cars and Coffee again on a regular basis and some of these more low-key events/meets. I'll be around soon.

I guess this topic is not new for me because I've made the same comments in the DFW G Club forum as well. I realize there is more interest on the Dallas side and Fort Worth is the minority...but there are a ton of amazing places in Fort Worth to meet at and eat at and I'd just like to see the sharing of pain more 50/50 then what it currently seems to be.

When I'm back 100% I plan to host a homecoming event and it will be here in Fort Worth so I guess we'll see how that goes.

I completely understand the whole 50/50 and we've been to Arlington a couple of times now for Kevin and Samson, but it's such a long drive from McKinney. If we know someone's planning to come out on a certain week, then we'd arrange for a more central location than Las Colinas and that's why I encourage ppl to post here often. Certainly, once you do have your car back and feel like coming out a week, just let us know so we can discuss it. I know for sure that DFW G Club doesn't like to steer too far from North Dallas, so it's up to you whether you wanna make the cruise up from South Fort Worth to meet with them cuz they are not gonna go to you.

Plus Las Colinas really is the central meeting place. I drive about 30 miles give or take to get there but other people drive just as far from all over. I think only three of us actually live in the fort worth/arlington area. If you want to come out just make a drive.

Hey guys! Miss seeing y'all but the Arkansas club meets on Saturday night so most people don't have to work the next day! Funny thing about the people who showed up is that four out of eight were from Texas! And about the driving thing? I drove 42 miles one way but the people make it well worth it! I was the only 370Z and showed them photos from the burger joint and needless to say they were impressed with our groups turnout and that was just a small part of the club. Way to go Nina you keep the group coming out!

P.S. I was home by 8:15 though!
