When I first got here back in March, she asked me to change out all the shower fixtures to brushed nickel ones so they would match her sink. Once I started it, I found out that whoever built the house took a lot of shortcuts and either didn't do the fixtures and pipes correctly, or 1970s construction was idiotic. Her pipe fixtures were really old and not of today's standards, so nothing at the stores would fit correctly; and the tub/shower spicket pipe was installed BEFORE they put up the sheetrock and the showers plastic liner. So I couldn't change out the pipe without getting behind the wall. I adviced her to have a licensed plumber come and change all the piping out since the wall was going to get torn out either way. There's been a large hole and plastic liner there temporarily and I didn't want to leave it like that. Besides, she wants to tile both bathroom floors, so I'm showing her how to do it on her own next time without someone's help.

So to top things off guys, while I was doing some more intricute tile cutting, my sister goes and washes her car...parks mine in the street...neighbor hits my car.

You know the Southwest Airlines commercial that goes, "want to get away?" I could really use one of those!

I'm always afraid of neighbors hitting my car too, thankfully my sister lets me park it in the garage.

That's gonna be a constant worry for me once I move to an apartment :(

You'll probably have to spring for a garage spot if you're gonna get an apartment. When I lived in one in Houston, there were kids running around all the time and someone stole the valve stem caps off my wheels...

the valve stem caps would be the least of my worries!!! :rofl2: my whole car might be gone by the morning!! lol but the apt I'm looking into has 2 levels of garaged parking and the apts are above the garage... that place is soooo nice... :drool:

I just found out I have a family dinner to attend to tonight, so I won't be able to attend the actual meet :( if you guys are still around after the meet, I'll swing by to chill for a little bit.

Looks like I'll be able to make it after all. I got my tire patched.

Ill be there today but will head out as soon as the meeting is over. Gotta cheer for the mavs!

I may be a little late. I just finished up grouting the shower and am cleaning up, but I need to run to Best Buy and help my sister pick out a new computer before I head over.
