COTA New Home to Austin's Cars & Coffee!!

Wanted to give this it's own thread since some don't check out the Austin Thread. Cars & Coffee has moved to COTA!!!

We are extremely excited about the news and know that you, the fans, are too! We have looked at numerous options and this is the most logical. It is where the show needs to be and SHOULD be. There is plenty of room to grow and plenty of space for all car types to park with their own. THAT’S RIGHT!! Parking, for now, will be divided into the following groups: American Iron, Asian Import and Tuners, European Aficionado, Classic and Vintage, Rock Solid Vehicle (SUV-Pickup-Jeeps), and Dirt Mud Toys (Side by Side / ATV). Obviously there are more classes/types that can be added and may be added in the future as the need arises.

The first show will be Sunday May 20th, 2018!! Finally a Cars and Coffee AUSTIN Show again!!!

The other dates for 2018 are: June 17, July 22, August 19, September 16, October 14, November 18, and December 16. Times will be announced soon. We realize the show dates do not fall on the same second Sunday of every month like before. Bear in mind, with the schedule of events that are already schedule to take place this year at COTA there was no way to pin the day down to a regular rotation. But at least we can relish in the fact that we have a show each and every month and this new Cars and Coffee Austin show is going to be the BIGGEST, BADDEST, CARS AND COFFEE EVER!!! See y’all on the 20th of May!
This is going to be interesting.

abm89 05-22-2018 01:33 AM

Did anyone actually go? The weather was quite **** on Sunday.

Also, do we know if they'll have any vendors out there for concessions/coffee? Otherwise, it's just going to be ZCON 2017 all over again (stuck in the sun for hours with no shade).

God-Speed 05-22-2018 06:36 AM

From what I have found out so far, is that they did have a descent turn out. One thing that people did comment on was the lack of vendors and long line for coffee. However they are working on getting more vendors to help out on this problem.

Cars and Coffee November 18th.

Cars and Coffee at COTA this Sunday. This weekend there is an event taking place. The 24H SERIES powered by Hankook is an FIA-approved international series of 24-hour endurance race events at fascinating circuits all over the world, aimed at amateurs and gentlemen drivers, semi-professionals and professional drivers. A wide variety of ‘tin top’ touring cars, GTs and 24H-Specials (e.g. silhouette cars) are eligible to race, from ‘hot hatchbacks’ up to proper GT3 machinery and purpose-built race cars. An established structure of classes and liberal technical regulations allow teams to compete without having to change their cars for the 24H SERIES, thus helping them to save costs. Points are awarded for overall teams’ and drivers’ championships, a separate Ladies’ Cup as well as for the various classes.

Free Access, a convivial atmosphere with teams and drivers from all over the world and fair competition on the track are the main characteristics of the 24H SERIES and 24H TCE SERIES events, allowing all teams and drivers to enjoy the fascination of motorsport together.
So as of today I don't know how this will effect the parking and CC parking as well. As soon as i find out, I will let you guys know.
