It's been awhile since I've run a drilled or slotted disc, I cant remember, but do these generate a lot more brake dust then stock rotors??
They sure look great

Slightly, but I would recommend using Hawk HPS pads, and you'll be very satisfied with the low brake dust they release.

I'm pretty happy with the stock pads, the performance is good, for what I do, and the dust is very low. At least in comparison to my Mini Cooper S. Of course it has black rims, so that doesn't help. I plan on getting black wheels or powder coating the 370z Rays wheels, is why I'm concerned. ;)

Would someone notice a difference with slotted and drilled rotors with a stock brake system? Or are they more for looks?

Coz@Czp 05-04-2009 02:48 AM

If you are not using it for severe applications, you can go with any personal preference. Most race applications prefer blank or slotted, drilled rotors are susceptible to crack under a long period of severe usage.

Gotcha

Definitely going with the lines and fluid. Thinking about rotors and pads too....

Questions: Do you know (for the Sport model) the weight difference between the stock, the slotted replacements you offer, and perhaps even the 2-piece (if you're making one that's slotted but not drilled?). I assume the point of the 2-piece is to drop more weight.

Also, I've been looking for a good streetable pad. I may occasionally do some light track events, but if I ever do more I can always get a different set of pads for the track... So I'm thinking about either those HPS's or the Ceramic ones from the ones on your site. They both look street-friendly (not as bad as a track pad on dust/noise/ rotor wear) from the descriptions. Is the Ceramic better all around, or is there some drawback compared to the HPS? Like, do they need more warmup to get full effectiveness, or are they more difficult to bed correctly?
