Trent Dilfer FTMFW!! That is exactly why we don't need the #1 overall draft pick. Plus, good scouting can find you plenty of good talent without have to be the first pick. |
Yeah, every time someone claims you need an elite QB to win in the NFL, I'm obligated to point out Dilfer and Brad Johnson have exactly as many rings as Peyton Manning and more than Dan Marino. Hell, Rex ******* Grossman has a better playoff record than how many of the current $100 mil contract guys?

I'm not saying the guy wasn't good or isn't still good. I think I'm trying to say that he didn't perform adequately for Houston considering his draft status. Then again... how many #1 overall picks live up to the hype. Jamarcus Russell? Sam Bradford? |

Vick is a outlier since he spent some time in prison. Otherwise he might be on that list. Or he might have just spent more time on IR. :rofl2: Eli's got rings, so maybe he's the best on the list? |

Eli is all over the place. Watching his play the past couple of years, I cannot agree that he is the best. Trent Dilfer doesn't get credit for being a good QB because he has SB rings. Vick is probably the best out of that group, and that says a lot when you factor in years of jail time. |
Cam's screwed now that he has no one to throw to. No Steve, no wins, more Cam sitting on the bench with a towel over his head. I can't imagine grown *** men looking at that spoiled brat wanting to follow him into battle, physical ability be damned.
Luck has the potential to be great. He's got the tools and the mindset. He still throws some bonehead passes and got lucky with defenders dropping a lot of would-be picks last year. And in Eli's defense (and I really threw him in the mix as a joke), he did win one SB. As in, he grabbed his nuts and won the game (with some minor assistance from David Tyree). Trent Dilfer was on a team that won the SB. |

That's what makes Eli so weird. The fact that he stepped up and made $hit happen on the biggest stage just screams clutch. But then the guy has years like the past three where he seems to throw more INTs than TDs  |

I'm not a huge Eli fan, but in his tenure as the starter in NY they've won two SBs. Brady only has one more SB win and two more SB losses and he's the second coming of Christ. And none of those SB wins happened after they got caught cheating. :rofl2: |
Eli is either good or terrible, there's no middle ground for him. He can't carry a team like the elite QB's do, but he can make plays if he has a great defense supporting him.
|
He got all of the "clutch" in the Manning family, and Peyton got all of the "regular season greatness". :rofl2:
