Was Podolski injured today ? or why didn't he feature vs. Everton today ?
|
I believe he was injured.
However, we are looking more and more dreadful each game. And with UEFA looking to scrap the Europa league next year, we need to make sure we get the CL spot, or win it this time 'round. |
arseblog said it fairly, in isolation a point against Everton isn't bad. we are desperately shorn of backups, however; there is no depth beyond our starting XI. wenger doesn't need major talent in a single spot in january, but he does need role players to provide some challenge to the current first team starters, and to provide cover. midfield and left back i think, assuming that sagna stays.
btw - see ya, theo. |
As a fan, it was pretty frustrating to watch as we kept giving the ball away cheaply and didn't score a 2nd goal. Of course, AW says a draw was a "good result" in terms of the players showing good spirit :shakes head:
In my eyes, their performance wasn't good enough. I think we should have won. Everton isn't as good as their place in the table would suggest. Something i've noticed that's missing is the beautiful, flowing pass game we used to use to score goals from w/in the opposition's penalty box . . . Maybe that was lost when our best players kept leaving the team over the past couple years. |
weeee are shiiiiiiiiiiiite

I guess Gooners are beginning to know what it feels like to support a mediocre, mid-table team, now. . . :shakes head: Wow
|
Yeah.
I never made fun of Liverpool for it, but I do know how they feel now. It's a sad feeling. |
Oh well, us Milan too... mid-table team...:shakes head: I feel your pain.

Played with weakened side and lost 2-1 in Greece. Oh well.
Shalke/Montpellier drew 1-1. |
Montpelier did their part, but we failed in getting first. Oh well.
Meade looks alright. Chamakh deserves a bench spot by pure virtue of the rest of the bench being utter, utter SH*T. |

It was good seeing Chamakh and Squillaci play again. Vermaelen and Sczesny had a good game. |
Bayern.

Celtic are through!
