I'm going to predict a 1-1 draw, Puyol with a header from a set piece early, Messi out injured in the 30th, team morale diminished, we pull one back in the 65th via a 10 yard laser shot from the little Russian and/or a cheeky low driven cracker from Zidane's love child.

spuds got punked by blackpool

Red370 02-22-2011 07:45 PM

sure as shyt they did! Tangerines owned em, and 3-1, nasty, just nasty.

phelan 02-23-2011 03:48 PM

hey stoke, f*ck off you rugby-tackling c*nts

today's win feels like a loss. i hope cesc came off as a precaution, but theo looked in bad shape.

someone mentioned that's four arsenal players stretchered off against stoke, theo accounting for two, aaron obviously, and one other unnamed player. still, tony pubis can kiss my arse.

Fcuking stoke scum.

The most inventive bit of cheating you'll ever see on a football pitch - FourFourTwo's Inside Track - FourFourTwo

the ref must have blown his whistle in appreciation for that little bit of ingenuity.

i'm going to be absolutely gutted if cesc misses the CC final. not because the team needs his ingenuity, but because he's been so patient with the club, he gets a final, and he can't play in it. even worse if he misses nou camp.

fate's being rather cruel to the skipper, it seems.

phelan 02-24-2011 02:30 PM

and...that's it. cesc and theo out for the CC final. RvP, Kos, and Diaby return.

ugh...really feel bad for cesc now. maybe he'll get disgusted enough over missing one trophy (provided we do overturn a very fiesty brum team), that he comes out and drags the arsenal to a few other trophies so he can lift one up himself.

EPL is RIGHT there for him too.

knew it -_-

Wow no talk about Bayern beatiing Inter?

blue660r01 02-27-2011 05:27 PM

So sad THE Ronaldo hung up his boots

phelan 02-28-2011 10:40 AM

bayern beating inter isn't nearly as interesting b/c even UEFA sees Serie A falls behind the bundesliga. hooray for 4 german teams next year in the CL.

THE Ronaldo just couldn't keep fitness, but goodness, one of the best strikers that ever walked a pitch. Sad to see he retires completely out of shape, with his body betraying him. I was watching a youtube video with him and Remy Gaillard, he can still nail a free kick onto a dime if he wanted to, just can't keep pace with the game anymore. Credit for the memories though.

Wocjech :crying:

I know you won't be happy about this, red, but that Bayern vs Dortmund match was amazing to watch from a neutral perspective.

cow 02-28-2011 11:33 AM

& did Arsenal play yesterday? I haven't heard anything about it.

Sahin MOTM by a long shot, wasn't he? That game was WIDE open. Robben tried to play, but Dortmund snuffed out all of the attacks down his side of the field because they crowded him almost instantaneously. Scarface just didn't have the same kind of effect.

Sahin >> Schweini in that game. That second goal he got was a thing of beauty.

Too bad Kagawa is injured, I was really hoping to watch that kid play against BM. The fact that Dortmund is THAT good, and he's still a revelation speaks volumes to his capabilities.

AT&T is a d*ck and took away GolTV and FSC+ from me  Hopefully I still get some good Bundesliga games in, esp when Kagawa comes back in April
