Walcott injury adds to Arsenal problems - - SI.com

Says Theo's injury isn't as bad as it looked. I hope so...

We should fly this in support of our injured Gunners:

EDIT: w00t!

THEO WALCOTT suffered another injury scare as he was carried off on a stretcher last night.

But the injury-jinxed England winger, 21, could be back in a week.

Theo is out 4-6 weeks.

FML. The little Russki and Chamakh arent going to cut it up top together, we're going to need strong help from the midfield, Cesc is going to have to step his game up and score some goals.

....................Almunia

Sagna - Squillaci - Vermaelen - Clichy

..........Eboue - Song - Diaby

...................Fabregas

............Chamakh - Arshavin

Sub Koscielny for Eboue if more defensive mindset.
Sub Koscielny for Vermaelen to recreate the FFF :rofl2:
Resist temptation to bring Nasri back against a physical team.
Pray to God that Fabregas still has his scoring touch, and can light up the offense with good through passes to both Chamakh and Arshavin.
Hope Arshavin didn't eat a humongous lunch, because he needs to move his *** lol

Good formation but I dont like Diaby on the wing, he doesnt have the pace. If anything I'd go with this:

...................Muniepoo

Sagna - Squill - Verms - Clichy/Gibbs

..........Eboue - Song - Rosicky

.....................Fabby

...............Smack - Russki

We wont need to sit back in a shell against Bolton, Fab and Eboue need to get forward and take chances on goal, Smack doesnt have his shooting boots on yet and Arsha gets muscled off the ball too easy, so I think the goals will have to come from set pieces and the midfield. I wish Rosicky would dial that shot back in, hes scored some beauties from 25+ yards with the Czech side in the past.

Thomas Vermaelen out of Bolton Wanderers match after adding to Arsenal's injury woes - Goal.com

holy jesus.

hes only out for Bolton, no biggie, makes that Squillaci signing seem genius.

phelan 09-10-2010 12:37 PM

I remain hesitant. Achilles injuries are notoriously hard to heal from.

Red370 09-10-2010 12:51 PM

its probably just a strain, if they said he'd be back for braga i dont think its too bad.

Red370 09-11-2010 10:58 AM

What a cheeky goal from Song, twas a thing of beauty. Excellent match for the gunners, Koscielny made a costly mistake early which makes me nervous about him, especially when the bigger clubs come to play. Squillaci looked unsure at times as well, you could definitely tell that Verms was missed on the day. Glad Smack got back on the scoresheet, excellent well placed header. And Fab was ridiculous today, his passes were cutting, sharp and precise, i'm going to miss that next season :(

phelan 09-11-2010 03:16 PM

Koscielny will be alright. I'm telling you, he's growing into his role quite well. And he doesn't look too spindly to me right now either. He was in a great position for his first goal, so credit to that. Squillaci is only playing his 2nd 90 minute game for the Gunners, but he is showing great poise in the back, he and Verm may be my go to starting CBs, with Kos off the bench for now.

Fab as usual, leading by example. I'm rockin' my jersey today for good reason  and credit to VELAAAAAAAA, on the scoresheets!!!

btw I've been saying forever Gibbs deserves a chance. Kid did very well today. I want him starting over Clichy right now.

Red370 09-12-2010 07:47 PM

hey fellas, this is a really long video, just highlights from the game against bolton, but I was watching and I couldnt get over how amazing Fab's passes were, its going to hurt us bad when he goes, I havent seen passing like this in a long long time. And that outside foot pass Rosicky hit for Arshavins chance was ridiculous.

Red370 09-12-2010 07:56 PM

and in the video the commentators and the guys talking at the end say that Cahills challenge was a yellow, and i'm going to have to disagree, if you look at the challenge, not only was it from behind, it was with both legs and studs up, according to my handy dandy FIFA referee book (i referee JV HS soccer games), thats a straight red card, regardless if he had the slightest touch on the ball. Cahill knows thats a no no and the referees have been instructed to enforce that at the highest level, both legs, studs up, behind, you're off and thats that.
