Let's talk about some hockey in this forum. This poor thread needs a shot of adrenaline.
GO PREDATORS |

Those Pittsburgh dudes need to shake off that Mumps business though man. WTF. I didn't think mumps was even a thing anymore.

i'm more worried about maatta's shoulder issue. may be done for good if it's as bad as people say. |
That a separate thing from the tumor operation he had to have?
|
Quote:
no he re-injured his shoulder from last year. report are possibly bone chips and more surgery. could be season ending. he's such a ridiculously good defender for his age. |

Glad to see some hockey folks keeping this thread alive.
Let's go CAPS!!!!!! |

2 points behind Anaheim for first overall. (the west is pretty weak aside from the top 4-6 teams honestly) yea they suck bad..... |

LOL
Preds had a good game against the Blue Jackets last night. Rinne looked much more energized. I was worried he was getting a bit burned out against Minnesota the other night, but it looks like it was a passing thing. Got the Bruins tonight in Boston! That will be a close one since the last one went to a shootout. Was a great game. |

Now im really impressed with Mitch Korn and his work with Braden Holtby and Justin Peters (even though hes had limited appearances because of Holts great play). I have always had faith in Holtby, he has top tier potential, extremely confident and calm under high stressed positions. Last season he just didn't have it going for him, he always looked tense and never at ease in the crease. Granted the D wasn't giving him much help for a large part of the season. So I'm really looking forward to seeing how he finishes the season. Now we have a tough task here new years day against the Hawks, Toews and kaner are the absolute best pairing in the NHL PERIOD!!!! Let's go CAPS!!!!! |
Pens play the caps next. Should be a good one depending on who we actually have on the ice. 10 guys on ir right now is not fun. Bright side we do have Crosby and Malkin still playing but a supporting cast is needed. A team of ahl players isn't ideal.

If he's coaching a guy with potential for greatness, he will extract the greatness from them without a doubt. We definitely miss him in Nashville, but we still have the years he spent with Rinne coming through in spades this season. |
The WC was amazing, the whole atmosphere, the crowd and both teams played extremely well. Glad my Caps won of course, epic finish by brouwer. Really glad after the game when the press was meeting with the coaches that Trotz finally gave all the due credit that Ovi the GR8 deserves. The guy is a tremendous hockey player and works hard every game. Trotz was all class at that press meeting and showed tons of pride in this hockey club. Very excited to see how the rest of the season plays out

granted he pulls a sick move out once in a blue moon but ehhhh he's ok. |
Everybody is entitled to there own opinion.

Just stumbled on this thread for the first time.
I've played hockey for about 16 years and now I've moved onto the beer league. Anyone else play in NJ? Also, a die hard Rangers fan. LETS GO RANGERS! Taking home the cup this year! :yum: |
LGR! :hello:

Any other time I would tell you how bad they are and how quickly we would destroy you. But this is year is just not the year for the pens it looks like :( long uphill battle for us if we keep playing like last game. |

Worst part for your team is that if Crosby and Malkin get their **** together you're done lol fluery is on point just our def is down many men and off isn't performing. The offense picks up its all over for the Rangers. They have been hanging on king Henry's golden glove and our pathetic def. This game is showing it that we are playing bad def and multiple penalties yet only one goal let up. If we keep improving I can see us in the second round. |
Classy ranger fans. Yelling Crosby sucks when he gets shouldered mid ice. Guess they forgot he has 2 goals tonight as well. Just saying.
|
We never claimed to be classy. I was forced to miss the majority of that nonsense last night, but the Rangers have their weak spots. As far as strictly relying on King Henry...he was injured for a good part of the season. Not to mention relying solely on a goalie's talents will not get you the best record in the NHL.

Well with that all being said we dominated them last night. Hoping it continues and we make it to the second round with a huge confidence boost |

Same to you sir :tiphat: |
I have to admit, I'm not looking forward to this game tonight.

I've been so bad at following the NHL this year. But, I'm a Bolts fan, so I am happy with the end result.

Holy crap I'm so pumped about what's going to happen during the offseason. Predators are going to make some moves and I feel they could come back stronger next season than they were this season (they were the only team to come away with very decisive victories over the Blackhawks this postseason, but injuries and inconsistency hurt us). Buffalo is my main team (nearest my birthtown)... and the rebuild is looking to truly take off. They need a netminder and some more offense (and they're likely grabbing Eichel in the draft and might even grab Eddie Lack off Vancouver). FP - Rumors of Malkin headed out via trade market are heavy, and Nashville would love to have him alongside Neal for a true #1 O-line, but he might be too expensive (I'm thinking Jones and Jarnkrok expensive... or Weber expensive.) |
On top of that... the Rangers are shopping Talbot and Nash, the Leafs might offload Kessel and/or Phaenuf, and the Blackhawks and Kings need to shed cap load. The Kings have to think about resigning Kopitar next season and don't have room right now to pay him what he's worth. The Blackhawks need the room to resign Saad next year.
It's going to be a very interesting offseason, even with the fairly mediocre free agent class. |
